Before: The two of them haven't competed officially since Joanne's shocking upset of Missy Peregrym in 2012, though both stables have tried to get the two of them back into the ring since. The two of them have been rumored to have competed in apartment wrestling bouts in the meantime, though neither of them will confirm or deny those rumors. However, both are more than happy to talk about the importance of tonight's match, with an air of mutual respect between the two. “There's no denying Missy is one of the best at the weight, but beating her before put me into the discussion and since then, I've been on the bubble, trying to break in. Beating Peregrym again will prove it's no fluke and that I deserve to be taken seriously!” Missy's nostrils flare a bit in determination, “Listen, I'm not saying it's a fluke at all. Joanne won that last match, fair and square, which I'm certainly not going to take away from her. I think Joanne deserves to be taken very seriously and I respect her a lot, but that just means I'm going to fight my hardest and when I do that, I think I'm going to win. Simple as that!.” Both fighters nod at each other before stepping off of the podium.

Both brunettes gazing at one another coolly across the ring – touching gloves and instantly heading back to respective corners in a tense pre-fight.

R1: Missy marching in confidently as the two of them just whacking away at one another mid-ring, exchanging hard right hands and pushing at one another aggressively, trying to break up opposing guard. Missy manages to break through first, however, in minute one, snapping a hard left uppercut underneath her opponent's chin and rocking her head backwards. A follow-up right hook catches her across Kelly's cheek to send her spilling down to the canvas with a thud! Missy doesn't take a moment to celebrate, walking back to her corner with only a hint of a smile after scoring the first knockdown of the match, waiting for Kelly to rise. Once Joanne does, Peregrym pounces in fast, bullying her opponent backwards but Joanne bringing up her guard, as she's getting walked down along the ropes. Missy looking to clean up on her foe, just beating away at Joanne's torso and waist, pursuing her but encounters spirited defense during the attempt. Kelly fighting in spots, just sending leather spanking out towards Missy's torso and face, preventing another knockdown with hard fighting to the bell. The two of them are pulled apart but Missy takes the round 10-8 with the knockdown!

R2: Joanne coming forward behind the jab to get back into the fight in round two, belting right hands to the chin that swivel Peregrym's head over and over. Missy keeping her guard up, dazed and sidestepping way as she adjusts and shoots out some strong crosses to keep Kelly backwards. But, Joanne keeps bulling forward, keeping up the pressure and steering Peregrym via the jab. Peregrym's peak conditioning keeps her upright, fighting hard again to bell as she belts Joanne along her flank and ribcage. The two of them trading hard punches until the ref is forced to intervene again, with Joanne getting the better of this round to take the second but Missy fighting hard to preventing Joanne's finishing run.

R3: The fight tied so far at one round apiece as both brunettes emerge from their respective corners, just rolling forward towards midring as they immediately set to busting each other up with thumping shots that shoot out towards torso and head. Both Missy and Joanne hooking at one another heartlessly, viciously slashing at one another with hard rights and lefts that connect aggressively as they battle in a phone booth. It's hard-fought as Joanne seems to make an adjustment in the middle of the ring, seeing something in Missy's defense as she slips to the side and then sends a left hook down into Peregrym's abs. Then, Kelly's right shoots up to crash across her foe's cheek to whip her head to the side, then toggling her head via the jab as her left lashes out to knock her backwards. Missy backpedaling, head spinning as she covers up along her head and shoulders, but Joanne bounding in determined as she keeps that right hand just drifting in across her face and temples over and over! Peregrym staggers along the ropes, dazed, trying to clinch or leg her way to freedom, but Kelly keeps bashing in right hooks to send Missy butt-in-ropes under the onslaught. The ref watching in concern as the right hand keeps swiveling Missy's head to the side and left hands hammering away at taut abs, Joanne's eyes hard as she keeps battering away and the ref steps in to award the match to Joanne Kelly via KO3 as Joanne stops Missy!

After: It's a shocking upset, with the entire crowd stunned, though none more so than Missy, who is shaking her head back and forth to her corner, just catching her breathe as she gazes across the ring at Joanne in shock. Joanne is all smiles, bouncing in her corner and even mounting the corner for a moment, raising her gloves into the air in victory! Joanne is clearly excited, but takes a moment to go over and speak with Peregrym. Peregrym is still in a state of obvious disappointment as her final match of the year does not go as planned, losing again to her brunette rival but manages a smile, exchanging handshakes and hugs with Joanne. The two of them part on good terms – for now, but while Missy is happy for Joanne, she certainly is determined that her rival's success won't come at her expense. But, for right now, Joanne just is beaming into the crowd, thumping her chest triumphantly and showing off a bit as she proves her previous win certainly wasn't a fluke. It's a well-deserved celebration after this huge blockbuster win over the recent lightweight champ and should definitely have other fighters in the weight take notice, if they weren't before.
