The opening bout of the Christmas Rumble is a match between UK superstar Geri Halliwell and Welsh ex-model Danielle Lineker. This is the flyweight division.

Round 1:

Geri Halliwell is quick to follow and goes for the kill, hammering her fists into Danielle's midriff one after the other. Lineker is groaning and gasping, hanging on to the ropes while Geri hammers away, even Geri's own big breasts jiggling from the many punches she throws. The audience is behind the Spice Girl and cheers her on. Although arguably she doesn't need it. This is all Geri Halliwell and she keeps hammering, one punch catching Danielle right in the stomach and causing her to yell out as she goes down on her knees and then slumps down to hands and knees as the ref counts her out. AFTER: A big round of applause from the audience for Geri Halliwell who lifts her arms and sways her hips like she would back in the Spice Girls heydays. The audience loves her even more for it and Geri is certainly not afraid to be a sex symbol, neither on stage nor in the boxing ring.

Danielle is down on hands and knees still panting. she doesn't look up at Geri. And let's face it. This was a mismatch right from start, Geri Halliwell clearly the better woman. She did what she had to do and she made it quick. She could have humiliated Danielle Lineker far more had she wanted to, but there was no need.
