If this fight happened four months ago the it would have been a real coin-flipper among two underperforming singers. Kimberley Walsh seeks her first win since 2011 and has been pummelled around the BBU rings by all kinds of opponents which pretty much send her holding hands with fellow Girls Aloud member Nadine Coyle in the ill-fated jobber pool. That's a personal insult for Kimba whose physical presence matches the Cheryl Cole standards and quite frankly it's a crying shame such a looker is suffering so much punishment lately.

The same could have been said about Liz McClarnon who was widely regarded as one of the biggest bantamweight jobbers before she caused one of the shocks of the year by knocking out former champion Una Healy in just four rounds. It's too early to say whether that was a mere false dawn for the ex-Atomic Kitten member or a fresh start to the blonde's hitherto awful career but for Kimberley's sake that's a very bad omen anyway and there's no surprise the Girls Aloud are all there in the audience to support the 32 year old tonight. In fact Nicola Roberts is scheduled to fight Lisa Maffia next so Cheryl, Nadine and Sarah Harding are the trio leading the applause and Denise van Outen claims there's gonna be some epic post-fight punishment served if both Kimba and Nicola can finish their opponents off.

Round 1:
Liz still rides that Healy upset mojo and shows great confidence in jabbing to Kimba's tummy early, single hands slap against the flesh but lack core strenght and Walsh stands her ground, answers over the top and swings around the blonde's head, clips her on the temple as Liz must increase the ammount of leather thrown at her foe, yet eats a quick hook on the nose and jumps away from close range much to Sarah Harding's delight in the front row. Kimba unloads an immediate counter though and swings more wide hooks around the head forcing the Atomic Kitten blonde into more avoiding steps, sharp hook from the side catches McClarnon around the elbow and staggers her a bit but she manages to split Walsh's mitts with a hooking response and prevents the fellow blonde from closing in; jumps to the side to avoid a looming hooking approach and Kimba loses her balance alltogether, stumbles forward and eats a chest mauling combo just inside the round with Liz giving her a cheeky smile as a result.

Round 2:
Kimba lashes out at her foe after hearing some comments from her bandmates just below the ring and targets the rack with a fierce combo but Liz refuses to yield an inch despite enduring a solid jabbing lesson, strikes over the top and whacks Walsh on the mouth, engages in a slugging affair in close range and punishes Kimba's chest herself before the Girls Aloud blonde jumps to the side seeking cover. Ribcage assault follows though as Liz blasts a hook under the elbow and follows up over the top to land another hook on the mouth and stagger Walsh on the spot. McClarnon uppercuts her way through the mitts and clips the chin as Walsh wobbles back towards the ropes and dekes to the side one more time, gets nailed on the nose though as Liz works the single hand in mid range and traps Kimba on the ropes, old demons raise their heads for the Girls Aloud blonde and Nadine Coyle's on her feet in the stands as Liz spikes her bandmate over the top for remainder of the round but thankfully Kimberley's guard manages to stay in tact even though that never was her trademark value. McClarnon strictly business at the bell but Walsh scowls in anger as she fears the round has gone away from her.

Round 3:
McClarnon's still visibly uneasy with the favorite tag but coach Taryn Terrell urges her to go after the alleged punchbag tonight and Kimberley's really been a bit flat despite all the support and a promising start. Lioness coach Gina Wild gives her a word of confidence and perhaps Liz's upset of Una Healy was a mere fluke after all? Both girls tangle in the middle of the ring trading fierce leather from the get-go and we kick into a higher gear as Liz pours in with facial leather, snapping Kimba's head back in a heated exchange before slamming hooks around the elbows and making her yelp in pain. More venom from the Atomic Kitten blonde, gutwrenching jabs reel an aching Kimba back who tries to respond but grazes the forearms in a futile attempt to stop a suddenly raging blonde; McClarnon uppercuts the chest slicing the mitts apart and cross-hooks the mouth with Walsh's hair flying around her neck; she tries to turn herself against the left arm but gets nailed on the nose as McClarnon leans on her and ups the tempo even further, slams more uppercuts on the chest to send Walsh sagging on the ropes before another cross-hook sets up a textbook right hook on the temple... WALSH CRASHES TO THE SIDE, the ammount of leather exposes her mediocre punching resistance and as she sits down and turns her head towards the ropes she can only watch as Nadine and Sarah bury their pretty faces in hands and Cheryl screams out like a Geordie possessed urging Kimba to get up and punish the blonde trash. Walsh's up at eight but leans on the ropes and McClarnon cleans out her tummy and nearly shoves through the ropes and out of the ring as the bell halts the Atomic Kitten charge and it's back to the board stuff from Kimberley whose eyes have lost that spark again.

Round 4:
Liz buoyed by that knockdown traps Kimba in the middle of the ring and begins to dismantle her guard again; the Girls Aloud blonde works the single hand in response for a while but cracks under the ammount of leather and must seek cover as McClarnon splits her mitts and whacks on the mouth before slamming jabs against the temples. Walsh leaves her feet behind and spins around as Liz pummels at her chest and sinks on the knees, methodical spiking from point blank range results in more head snapping misery and more pretty Girls Aloud faces hiding in the hands. Cardiff Arena roars in support as Liz gives Kimberley a lesson in uppercuts and sends her bawling onto the ropes, smashes a piercing right hook on the eye in the dying seconds and poor Walsh doesn't even want to look at her nemesis as McClarnon's angry over something, probably because she failed to send the fellow blonde down again, too much single hands landed instead of proven combos and Taryn Terrell tries to adjust the upcoming attacks as Kimberley looks a bit hollow in the opposite corner and unresponsive to coach Gina Wild's screams.

Round 5:
Walsh jumps into a jabbing frenzy all of the sudden, tries to catch McClarnon by surprise but comes second best in a footwork battle, early trips over and falls flat on her face when she unloads a fierce jab over the top, Liz dekes around her and slams uppercuts between the arms to whip her backwards into a moaning heap. More overhands relieve the Girls Aloud blonde from any forms off aggression as Liz traps her in close range and buries uppercuts into her chest, clips the jaw and shatters the guard. No mercy for Walsh as she soaks up facial assault and gets thrown onto the ropes with another head-snapping nightmare; McClarnon with a determind look in her eyes, she really wants to punish Kimba here and works on the face like there's no other target available, smashes the cheeks into a reddish jelly, bounces off the brow ridge and tears the skin under the left eye. Walsh reduced into a moaning mess, sinks on her knees butt-in-ropes and if Liz had a cracker of a punch she'd have finished this one off long time ago. Either this or she's on a mission to wreck Walsh mentally as well as physicall but when the bell sounds and a swollen faced Kimba heads toward her stool even Cheryl Cole remains in her seat with Sarah Harding likewise grim in demeanour. All hopes on Nicola Roberts then?

Round 6:
Kimberley's been roughed up badly and Liz keeps playing the harrassement game and despite whipping more shots into the already swollen face, holds something back and seems to enjoy the sight of her rival wandering around the ring on soft knees. Walsh keeps her guard high but reverts into sheer avoidance moves, tries to spike the fellow blonde on the tummy and even clips her boobs but Liz immediately responds by clubbing the wounded brow ridge and snaps Kimba's head back, reels her towards the ropes with the poor Lioness girl almost stumbling into her misery; McClarnon drills her right hand against the eye; Kimba's got a tennis ball-size bump by the end of the round and the smile on Liz's face gets bigger and bigger but the crowd demands her to stop wrecking Walsh and just put her to the orbit already. Not gonna happen yet! McClarnon dwells on the favorite tag after all, sends uppercuts against the nose and bursts Kimba's nostrils in the final minute, what a mess in the ring with the proud Girls Aloud blonde enduring one of the worst beatings of her otherwise lacklustre career as the Atomic Kitten singer just clubs her face into a bloody mess and Walsh turns to the right side, indicates she's got some vision issues and just can't see Liz working her right hand and snapping the daylights out of her in teh corner. There's the bell and ref really seems to enjoy this pasting as well as Kimba's onj the verge of breaking down and the cutmen don't even know where to start!

Round 7:
Somehow we make it up for the seventh but Walsh's dead on her legs and unable to prevent the ineviteable; the cutmen have done all they could to stop the nose bleeding but McClarnon opens up the blood river by whipping more uppercuts from close range and slamming another jabbing combo against the left eye. The tennis ball size keeps growing and Kimberley waves her hands towards the ref as she can't see a damn thing out there but Liz still slams her on the nose and snaps the head back couple of times before the man in charge finally realizes he has to protect Walsh from getting literally dissected in the ring and embraces her as the other blonde shakes her glove to the crowd and blows everyone a well-deserved kiss. TKO7 Liz McClarnon in ultra brutal fashion!!!

AFTER: That was one of the ugliest stoppages in recent months and Liz really brutalized Kimberley in the ring, almost played with her ever since the knockdown and Denise van Outen remains coy whether the Atomic Kitten blonde doesn't have that killer punch in her or did she want to enforce her dark side against a sexy punchbag like Walsh? That Healy upset surely didn't look like a fluke at the end of the day despite Sarah Harding arguing with the ref that the stoppage was premature. But Gina Wild and the rest of the Lioness entourage realize it was long overdue and quite frankly Kimberley should have remained in her corner after the sixth; the internal stable rules preventing quitting on the stool in any case tied the trainer's hands there but this will go down as one of the examples whether that rule should be changed.

There are no such worries for Liz and her trainer Taryn who both head into the Lioness corner and while Sarah Harding is still arguing with the officials and Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle call the locker room to see how is Nicola feeling before her bout, Kimberley gets lifted by the Girls Friday duo and eants herself a nice Walk of Shame much to the crowd's delight. She drops her head with the hair covering her busted up face for a while but Liz grabs her from behind and exposes all the damage inflicted by her just minutes ago, Kimba's left eye is swollen shut and the nose bleeding is only a fraction less disturbing than the one suffered by Rhian Sugden earlier.

But that's not enough as Taryn Terrell executes her evil plan to perfection, she notices some commotion behind her, that's Sarah Harding finally realizing the pride of Girls Aloud is experiencing a massive failure and tries to enter the ring... WHUUPP... Taryn's boot lands right on the blonde's tits and sends her flying towards the front seats with Chezza and Nadine tripping over each other in avoidance... back in the ring Walsh is forced to kneel down in front of the blonde as Taryn ties her up from behind and demands the foot kissing finale... poor girl, she has no choice but to obey as Sarah Harding isn't there to save her anymore... What a nightmare for Kimberley and all the Girls Aloud fans! Even Denise van Outen calls for Nicola Roberts to do something about it but everyone gets to enjoy one last smile from Liz and Taryn as they leave a sobbing wreck in the ring before heading off surrounded by the security people. Cheryl Cole was ready to scratch some eyes out but reverts into calling the ambulance instead as one of her bandmates has been completely destroyed tonight and won't be staying for any looming Nicola Roberts revenge in the upcoming minutes.
