Jade Thirlwall makes her BBU debut and looks to immediately avenge the defeat of her fellow Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards against Jeanette Biedermann just few minutes ago however even if Frankie Sandford's record leaves a lot of room for improvement, the Saturdays singer is determined to finally score a much needed victory versus the rookie and the entire Manchester crowd hopes for a proper flyweight bash in the ring.

What's more interesting Jade celebrates her 21st birthday today and there's no prize for guessing what kind of a present would she want. She refuses to touch gloves with Frankie and makes a throat slit gesture to keep her spirits high but the older girl bursts out laughing and simply shakes her head in disgust.

Round 1:
Jade was piercing Frankie with utmost disdain during the introductions and jumps after the older singer with a flurry of leather, Frankie was never the one who could take a solid punch well but the ammount of shots thrown at her doesn't match the accuracy whatsoever and Jade only grazes the flesh as Sandford dances around her and counters from the side, works the single hand over the top and keeps Thirlwall back. Jade barks in anger upon seeing her failures and tries to wipe the smile off Frankie's face but wobbles forward and the Saturdays girl whips a series on the chest, tags the chin in close range and takes control in the final minute, peppers the birthday girl's ribcage and bends her forward just before the bell, misses another put away hook on the chin though and falls into a late clinch as Thirlwall whispers more abusive words straight into her ear.

Round 2:
Jade keeps coming forward but can't match Sandford's speed across the canvas, throws a series over the top which bounces off the guard and falls into more midriff assault as Frankie works the accurate jabbing and staggers Thirlwall in the middle of the ring. She switches high and tries to slice the mitts again but Jade jumps at her instead and bumps into her chest, flicks a quick uppercut and nails Frankie on the jaw, follows up with more leather on the chest and it's the older singer clinching her opponent thereafter; both girls spike each other's ribs in the final minute but Jade refuses to let go and has Sandford moaning in a mix of anger and pain at the bell after drilling her around the liver area one too many times.

Round 3:
Frankie seeks redemption and pours in with facial assault, clips Jade's chin and doubles up on the cheeks but the rookie refuses to yield possession and leans on the older girl, cracks more ribcage leather and has Sandford moaning; leans even further and bashes away at the tummy as Frankie whacks her on the temple and tries to reel her back.. not gonna happen as Jade flicks an uppercut on the jaw, slices the mitts and snaps Sandford's head back and works the left hand on the eye to force Frankie into covering up... more Thirlwall aggression follows as she rips into Frankie's ribs and pummels her in the middle of the ring until Frankie must retreat, subsequent flying hooks bring the rookie no success but she's holding her own against the more experienced if lacklustre opponent.

Round 4:
Sandford's really angry about her rival's forward bite and engages in a vicious leather exchange, snaps Jade's head back and spins the hair around her neck, finds the big left hook on the temple and follows up on the mouth from close range which staggers Thirlwall in the middle of the ring, another left hook on the temple... Frankie dishes out single hand punishment and cracks a decissive uppercut on the chin to wobble Jade to the side, another hook on the temple.. THIRLWALL'S DOWN... all the good work undone in wake of a sudden exposure as Frankie scores a rare knockdown... but Jade's up at six and wants immediate response, leaps at the older singer and beats her for an overhand hook, Frankie straight jabs from point blank range and clips the chin again as both girls pound away at each other for remainder of the round but it's Jade's head snapping backwards more often and Frankie's got that big smile back on her face during the interval.

Round 5:
More of the same in the fifth, both girls try to wreck each other in the middle of the ring just trading vicious leather but Thirlwall secures the precision now and lands couple of clean uppercuts on the jaw to bend Frankie to the side; the older singer leaps into immediate counter and whacks Jade on the temple to cause the arms to drop, finds the left hand on the nose and makes the rookie moan, another right just above the mitts catches Jade clean again and bursts her nostrils... bleeding brunette reverts into covering up and on comes Sandford, slamming her gloves against the ribcage and seeking more facial damage. Thirlwall tries to clinch, throws herself around Frankie's waist but gets nailed on the nose again and now she's bleeding really badly as the red stains begin to cover Sandford's chest, blatant clinching helps Thirlwall to see out the round but she immediately calls for the cutmen to deal with her wound and Frankir's eyes are glowing in the opposite corner!

Round 6:
Frankie moves for the kill, all facial assault now as Jade fights back frim behind the guard but lacks confidence and it's evident she didn't expect to be cut up on her debut. Sandford whacks her repeatedly between the arms and hassles around the ring until she traps her on the ropes in the second minute after Thirlwall's footwork collapsed for good. Overhand spiking on the nose snaps Jade's head back and the nostrils are squashed again and the birthday girl moans her heart out having been pummelled around in this round thus far. Frankie refuses to stop, makes Jade's arms drop and slams her on the nose with another left/right combo, follows up with a clean shot on the jaw and THIRLWALL BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES and falls flat on her face with Sandford wiping the blood off her cleavage. Jade's up on all fours at six but as she examines the blood dropping on the canvas from her wounded nose and doesn't make the effort to beat the count and it's a rare KO6 Frankie Sandford!!

AFTER: Jade's lack of experience let her down in the end as Frankie wasn't afraid of her at all despite couple of rough moments. It's a very seldom sight that the Saturdays singer doesn't come into the bout as a complete underdog and she withstood all Jade could throw at her tonight which perhaps indicates the Little Mix girl must work on some core strenght in order to make any impression in the future.

While the Little Mix band suffers a double whammy on the card, there's a real chance the Saturdays will go two for two instead as Vanessa White comes next against the long unseen Hannah Spearritt. Frankie's got a poster girl smile to please the Manchester crowd and a whole bunch of journalists and even if this results doesn't change her overall status, it's still very pleasing to see such a pretty girl celebrating a rare success. Meanwhile Jade has to wait for another opportunity next year...
