Allthough Tech Unlimited Europe has folded some time ago, Kayleigh Pearson's performance against Amelle Berrabah indicates that the members of that particular roster as still capable of some high-profile results. And Emmy Rossum is on a personal mission against Berenice Marlohe to avenge the vicious defeat the dark-haired Bond girl gave Micaela Schaefer last month.

Marlohe was hoping to set up a national clash with Malika Menard but the former Miss France ceased her activities following a split decision loss to Alaina Huffman on the same card when Marlohe knocked Schaefer out. And the French brunette has little sympathy for Tech girls' efforts to chop her down. Even Denise van Outen admits that Rossum's schedule is perhaps above her current grade, she was knocked out by the fearless Rochelle Humes in February and now challenges another woman with a much better record. But when the stable's pride is on the line all bets & records are off.

Round 1:
French brunette's confident of adding misery to the Tech roster and leaps into her opponent with immediate swings on the head; Emmy's guard holds up well for a while but the ammoint of punches thrown at her causes her to step back and revert into some quick footwork as Marlohe's punching skills have met no match thus far. She manages to settle into mid-range and avoid serious punishment but can't wipe a cheeky smile off Berenice's face who applies the huntress tactics, landing single hands on the flesh for remainder of the round and chasing the American down which really makes Emmy look a bit sluggish.

Round 2:
Marlohe seeks more close range assault, jabs at the body early, Rossum's so hittable to the gut according to van Outen but overhand response changes the tune and snaps the Bond girl's head back as Emmy leans on her and whacks her across the mouth before jumping back. Berenice swings in response but only cuts the air as Emmy's too quick for her and the stalking resumes with Emmy teasing the older woman by dropping her arms and offering a goofy smile herself. Marlohe falls for the tease at first but misses more of her efforts and circles back herself and there are no signs of another quick KO from the French brunette here.

Round 3:
Rossum sticks to hit & run tactics, dominates the speed department and allthough Marlohe has seemingly the bigger punch and ain't that slow across the canvas, she just can't catch her opponent who's performance beings to intrigue more people than just Denise van Outen. But Marlohe's keeping her calm yet, avoids fancy moves without protection and settles into mid-range leather exchange with the gloves being thrown fast but ineffective and crash off the forearms more often than not. Where is the devil in disguise?

Round 4:
Emmy still with that smile of hers and that's what bothers the French girl the most as she blasts at the American with a flying hook but misses the key target, skims off the shoulder and gets whacked on the navel as Rossum moves into counter and staggers Berenice with more shots around the elbows; Bond girl can't stretch her arms at all and feels the heat with Emmy slamming leather against her chest and clipping the jaw, hit and seek continues as Marlohe wobbles back and Emmy just circles around her. Who's the huntress now? Angry yelp from the older woman as she jumps into more jabbing assault but can't close Rossum down and nearly gets belted with a quick hook on the counter but Rossum for once lacks precision and skims off the gloves as she falls into Marlohe's clinch and both vixens are wrestling along the ropes rather than boxing at the bell.

Round 5:
Rossum keeps wearing Marlohe down as she blocks off a spirited charge and leaps away to safety, French girl on the chase but loses balance and falls forward with Emmy slipping by her and slamming against the temple in quick response; Marlohe lifts her head but endures more lighting fast leather yet Rossum backs away again and just observes whether her rival's fuse is gone; not yet as Berenice wipes sweat off her face and settles into more methodical footwork and jabs from mid-range; leaps into more aggressive slaps in the final minute and tries to trap the American down, whacks her across the mouth late but Emmy ducks under a follow up and nails the French brunette on the ribcage instead, wraps her arms around her neck and shoves her into the ropes as Berenice was too slow to react, and there's more jabbing on the tummy that makes her yelp in frustration before ref can pull the younger girl away.

Round 6:
Furious charge from Marlohe, seems like she's done with Rossum's dancing in the ring but as she pounces on her in the middle of the ring and strikes over the top, Emmy bumps into her and catches with a wayward headbutt, slams immdiate jabbing combo on the tummy and beats the French girl for a big uppercut on the jaw... Berenice wobbles back and as she tries to respond, Emmy comes flying with a hook on the left eye and a follow up right on the temple... MARLOHE GOES DOWN FLAT ON HER BACK and that really stuns the Manchester crowd... she's up at six but Rossum crinkles her eyes now and leaps straight into her jaw again with a monster hook, whacks Berenice onto the ropes and switches into pounding her insides out, throws a furious barrage on the navel and leaves the Bond brunette gasping for air at the bell.

Round 7:
Rossum all over a tired looking Marlohe who's clearly shaken by that knockdown and subsequent clean up, ribcage bashing staggers the French girl who keeps the fire in her eyes but bounces off the guard in response and eats cross hooking misery instead as Emmy drops the merry dance for good and keeps punishing the midriff, uppercuts the rack down the stretch as she outworks her foe in close range and reels back onto the ropes thereafter, slices her guard and bounces off the nose, snaps the head back much to the crowd's delight and throws an aching Berenice against the turnbuckle, drills her guts out in the final minute and bends her forward to the point she can jump on her neck if that was legal; Marlohe's in a sorry state here, getting beat up for the first time in her career and unable to respond against the ultra lively American.

Round 8:
Youth prevails early in the eight with Berenice's wide slaps making no impression on Emmy whatsoever, on the turn she rips into the brunette's guts from the side and uppercuts the arms aside before bouncing off the jugs and sending the put away on the mouth moments later... Marlohe gurgles in despair, tries to raise her arms one more time but Rossum harpoons her on the nose once... twice even... AND DOWN GOES THE FRENCH GIRL heavy on her backside... now getting outclassed and almost battered into a smoking mess... she gets up at eight but it's a slow effort and Rossum pounces for the kill with the ref offering little sympathy for the Bond girl... one way punchfest follows with Emmy sagging the Bond girl butt-in-ropes and slamming leather into her face with the arms dropping to the side, Emmy in furious mode, cracks a big right hand on the brow ridge and relieves Berenice from further moaning, knees buckle for the final time and Emmy freezes with her last punch, prefers to watch as Marlohe's eyes bellow into the orbit and the proud French brunette HITS THE DECK FLAT ON HER FACE... no count is required... KO8 Emmy Rossum!!!

AFTER: One of the biggest upsets crowns the second annual BBU Boxing Day PPV. Emmy Rossum was believed to endure another mismatch misery but handed Berenice Marlohe her first defeat and now everyone should expect Malika Menard pouncing on her wounded compatriot sooner rather than later. The fight is still touted as top draw for non-UK lightweights while on the other hand Rossum's career is poised to really take off in 2014. Together with Kayleigh Pearson she might be a driving force behind Tech Europe's rise from the deathbed and the prospects for next year never looked better. Huge night for the stable on one of biggest BBU event of the season!

As a dizzy looking Berenice Marlohe is helped onto her stool to fully dwell on her tonight's downfall, Emmy poses for the cameras and is indeed joined by stablemate Pearson to confirm the fact that both girls stole the headlines on the night and lead the post-event media accolades. Denise van Outen thanks every BBU fan for sticking to all the fightcards from the departing season and wishes everyone an even better 2014!
