SIGLER/ MACK Some of the biggest upsets of the year happened at the Asylum and this bout was just icing on the upset cake. Some wondered how this match made it past the Commissioner. Now we know. Sigler decked Mack in the first round and followed up with a 10-8 second. Mack spent the next four rounds getting even and taking a 2 point lead in the seventh when, she put Sigler on the canvas. In the third, Decker caught Rosie with a right and then followed up with a left and a couple more rights and Huntington-Whiteley went down for the count. Decker by a KO3
EVE/ PARK This bout ended with the most controversial call at the Asylum this year. Park hurt Eve in the first round. In the second, she landed a right hand and backed Eve up with right jabs. Then Grace landed a another hard right and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight. Eve didn’t seem to be in that much trouble. It was a feeling in the broadcast booth, that the fight was stopped to soon and even Grace admitted she was surprised that the referee stepped in. Park gets the questionable TKO
REFAELI/ TORV. This was the fight of the night. It was not a barroom brawl, it was a good close fight with some pretty good boxing. Torv got off to a great start by taking the first three rounds and looking like she was going to make a joke of the bout. Refaeli had other ideas and took the next four rounds to take the lead at the end of seven. Torv bounced back to take the last three rounds to get the decision There were no knockdowns in the contest.
STAITE/ CAMPBELL The two had fought once before with Staite getting a one point upset win over Neve. Staite figured she would make it two in a row. it didn’t work out that way. In fact, the bout was over in a little over two minutes. Campbell landed a shovel hook to the body that left Staite hugging her body on the canvas as the count passed her by. |
