BBU FIGHT NIGHT FROM NOTTINGHAM

American superstar Beyonce makes her BBU debut for her new stable against the BBU welterweight champion Erika Heynatz’s stablemate tonight , the Australian singer just a few weeks older than her, a inch or so taller, and on the face of it, a well matched opening opponent, but an opponent who syas she’s ready to follow her stablemate to the BBU title.

Vanessa is first into the ring, the Australian wearing a black bikini with matching gloves and boots, looking honed – but Beyonce looks better when she enters, the American clad in a gold leather one piece outfit, with gold gloves and boots, and she looks like she’s ready for a successful debut.

Round 1

The girls are both surprisingly hesitant, and this is a slow start, with the girls both standing off, not wanting to make any mistakes, and the large Australian contingent is getting restless, Vanessa reacting by drilling a couple of punches at Beyonce’s face, the American respnding with a bodyshot before clinching. The referee pushes the girls apart, and Vanessa lands a nice left jab on Beyonce’s mouth, and that seems to have stung her into action at last! Beyonce gets through with three right hand punches, and she’s finding Vanessa really rather hittable now, left hooking her to the cheek, and now going after the Aussie’s body. But Vanessa’s standing off, and she looks like she won't mix it with the American like this, keeps her distance, and seems to be letting Beyonce hit her body as she wishes, and she looks maybe overawed at fighting Beyonce, despite her stated ambition to knock the superstar out, This might not last long, because Vanessa is again pushed backwards, and she takes a beating on the ropes, Beyonce whipping the punches into her body – but Vanessa isn’t hurt, and she recovers, turns Beyonce around in the closing seconds, and she bangs that lovely face back two or three times, Beyonce looking shocked.

Round 2

The Girls seem to have decided how they want to fight, and there’s certainly more action at the beginning of this round than there was in the opener, with Beyonce moving well, launching herself a little impatiently at Vanessa, the Australian stepping to the side to avoid her. Beyonce is more aggressive than Vanessa, and she tries for a big right haner to Vanessa’s face, again the Australian swaying away, and this time biting back as well - Vanessa tags Beyonce with a left and a right, and she’s hurt the American with those punches, made her look vulnerable. A dazed looking Beyonce’s clinching, but those punches have slowed her down, and mayble weakened her into the bargain, because the referee easily prises her off Vanessa, who starts to look good, now and she’s moving well, snapping offsome jabs, keeping Beyonce back and popping her head back, making the American look a little amateurish, but as the round draws to a close, Vanessa tires, and Beyonce’s inside her reach, slamming some hard punches into Vanessa’s body, and the look on the Australian’s face suggests that these punches are hurting her, here eyes screwed shut.

Round 3

Beyonce’s getting comfortable now, taking control of this fight, and she knows she has the power to hurt Vanessa to the body – shhe moves the Australian around the ring, thudding punches into her ribcage making the girl go where she wants her. Vanessa’s finding it difficult to stop Beyonce at this time, the girl hitting her to the body as she gets worn down. Vanessa’s defence is starting to crumble,a nd she’s struggling to cope with Beyonce, the American landing a good right hook to her jaw, and now she hits her to the body with both gloves, the leather gloves making a real slapping noise as they land in Vanessa’s abdomen, which Beyonce follows up by knocking Vanessa’s head up and back with a short uppercut, and now she gives the girl a beating as she has her trapped on the ropes – and Vanessa’s down – it’s the sheer volume of punches that put her there, rather than one clean hit. Vanessa’s up at 8, but it’s all Beyonce now, as she gives Vanessa’s body more punishment, looses off a right hook to the girl’s jaw, and Vanessa’s down again at the bell, groggily staggering to her corner to be revived.

Round 4

Poor Vanessa’s face is lumping up, both cheeks swollen and bruising, and the worn-down girl’s breathing hard as Beyonce gives her a classic left, right, left hammering to her face to send her teetering backwards and into the ropes, where she thrashes her to the body, before moving around behind her, turning herself onto the ropes, and she gives herself room to crash an uppercut into Vanessa’s chin, laying her out in the centre of the ring.

Result: Beyonce Knowles knocked Vanessa Amorosi out in round 4.

Beyonce hasn’t fought fr a while, and she looked a little ring rusty in the first two rounds, but then her power told. Can she take Erika Heynatz, though? And should she be allowed to fast track past other girls in waiting?
