Now, I like Jaye – I like Jaye a lot! But she’s taking on a girl here who’s bigger than her, and who gave Catherine Tyldesley one of the most savage beatings I’ve seen in the Ashes tournament last year, the same tournament that saw Jaye battered and humiliated by Erika Heynatz.

Now these are big girls – and Jaye’s filling out a blacks basque and knickers very nicely tonight, her red boots and gloves not really matching the outfit, but never mind – that’s Jaye for you! Delta’s looking svelte in a baby blue bikini – and her boots and gloves do match her outfit. This girl’s one good looking blonde, I can tell you!

Round 1

The girls are taking their time as the fight starts, Delta sending out a snaky jab there, and another – nice punches, nothing more at this stage, and Jaye’s working hard, moving her head well, swaying from side to side, and she hits Delta to the body, needing to get inside the taller girl’s reach as much as she can. Delta’s stepped backwards, but I don’t think Jaye hurt her, she just wants some space, the actress crowding her a bit, and she steps back again, Jaye following, still nicely inside the blonde’s longer reach – but she’s not as quick this time, and now the girls trade! Wow! They’re testing each other out now with hard punches being thrown, Delta’s right glove crashing into Jaye’s face to whip her backwards, but Jaye comes back, gives Delta a left, and a right – and the blonde didn’t like that too much – now she drops her attack, and lands to Jaye’s body, rips a strong pair of punches into her midsection, and that’s forced Jaye backwards, her back gainst the turnbuckles, and she’s eating right hands one after another, as Delta just unloads on her face – boy this is savage from the Australian girl – awww, lovely straight left that time, and she’s split Jaye’s lips with that one punch – a punch she seems to think might floor Jaye, but the brunette gets back at the blonde, and she’s showing real guts here as she works Delta hard to body, gets herself clear of the ropes – but Delta has the last word in this round, and she hurt Jaye with a great right hook as the time closed in.

Round 2

Jaye’s still all bristling aggression, and she’s at Delta right from the start this time, inside the tall blonde’s reach, and she’s landed well to Delta’s chin with that punch – but now Jaye takes punishment from Delta, the Aussie sending her sideways with a good right hook. Jaye sagged a bit after that hit, but she comes back again, bustling forwards, and she hurts Delta with her crunching bodyshots, deep punches right into the softer part of the girl’s body, good punches that will aches more and more as this fight goes on. I can tell you that Delta’s wincing now as she steps backwards, but there’s nowhere for her to go, and she just has to accept more punches from the feisty Jaye - she swings a right hook at the darker girl’s head, but she misses – she just can't find a punch to land on Jaye, and the local girl from Somerset is dominating this fight, pushes forwards some more – but she’s wide open after throwing an attempted right hook at Delta’s face – and Delta hurts her with a couple of very hard punches to her cheeks, one on each - too late to make any difference in this round, but that’s another couple of nice bruises for Jaye to feel later!

Round 3

Jaye’s across the ring quickly – she covers the ring well, this girl – but Delta’s waiting for her this time, and she greets her with a very swift and straight left and right – and that’s stopped Jaye’s progress! It’s as if Delta’s suddenly remembered how to box, because suddenly she starts to find Jaye’s face with her stunning punches, at last using her superior height and reach. Jaye’s still coming forwards, but Delta picks her off nicely, and that’s making the local girl moves back – she isn’t great at defending, though, and she getting a bit of a smacking now, her face an open target for Delta’s punches – the blonde’s quick and powerful, and she’s giving Jaye a lot of trouble – that right hook found it’s target! Jaye’s knees gave a little shimmy there, and she’s in retreat, heels guiding her backwards, and Delta gave her some hard punches as she stuffed her into corner – this is a different Delta this round, and Jade’s struggling, just can’t escape from the corner, and she’s been stunned by a crushing right hook from Delta – that’s the bell, and Jaye staggers across to her own corner for some respite.

Round 4

Delta’s strutting the ring now, gloves held low, and she pops Jaye’s head back with a jab, cross, hook combination to the face – now she’s working on the Brit’s body, and as Jaye stumbles backwards, Delta helps her on her way and she lands two big right hand punches, Jaye bending backwards over the ropes. Delta crashes a left hook into Jaye’s ribs, and another – Delta’s hurting Jaye now, teaching her a lesson, I think – the lesson being to keep away from big Australians! In goes the right to Jaye’s face, now the left, and another left, and another - poor Jaye, her face is being targeted now, and her right cheek is bruising and swelling. Hard as she tries, Jaye can't get back to Delta, the blonde girl keeping her away, and she gets hurt again as she attempts to land a right hook on Delta, takes a swift left hook, and she’s down. I don’t think Jaye saw that coming, but she’s up again at 6, and she looks ready, but she’s taken more punishment there from Delta, the blonde girl just irrepressible now – Jaye’s down again! That was the left again, but still she gets up – the count reached 8 that time – but again she’s being beaten in the corner of the ring as Delta tries to finish this fight.

Round 5

Jaye’s looking vulnerable now, and her right eye’s shutting fairly rapidly, Delta landing another left hook on it, and another – and Jaye’s taking a bad beating on the ropes, with Delta working her to the left and to the right, and this is getting cruel now! The ref’s going to stop this, I hope – no – there’s no need! Delta’s put Jaye away herself with a right hook!

Well, Delta’s not a girl to take lightly! She says she wants the welterweight title for herself, and I dunno, maybe Erika Heynatz will give her a shot?
