Before: Carpenter finally gets a shot, and she's not taking it for granted, stunning the press at weigh in with a golden brown, taut physique. Peeps heavily favoured, treating Charisma with total disdain, and she comes in with just the hint of a double chin, looking softer than she has for recent fights. Nia brushes off criticism - she's clearly the classier fighter, but CC taller, very fit and can punch at this weight, shouldn't be taken lightly. Nia in black sports bra, red bikini bottoms, ponytail - Carpenter in teased, short do, gold bikini with furry little white puffs all over.

During R1: Nia out aggressively, looking to bash melon with sudden hooks or uppercuts out of a low crouch - many drubbing connects early - Carpenter legging away, looking to use the ring. CC fighting behind her jab, using her feet more than we've seen - she soon has Nia bobbing and pivoting midring while Charisma dances left. Down the stretch, Peeps gambling to get inside catches a sweet right uppercut on the mouth that sends her reeling on her heels, wide eyed to the ropes. Carpenter stomps in, lets her hands go and PEEPLES IS HURT! Nia stunned, defenceless takes a withering series of ripping blows to her head as Charisma lashes away at the bell. Peeps busted up on the bridge of the nose, wobbly butt as she stands up off the ropes - she's been rode hard, put away wet this round.

R2: First minute - Carpenter continues to confound with the boxing look - keeping Peeps at the end of her jab, using her legs - Nia clearly having problems with the reach and classy movement. End of the first, Carpenter stuns Nia again with a short right hand, catching Peeps on the way in - champ staggers back on her heels to the ropes. Middle minute - Carpenter climbing on board, savaging her girl along the ropes as Nia takes a seat, slides to her left, huddling over, trying to move her head but taking a beat down corner to corner. Final minute - Carpenter working the cut with her jab, and scoring HEAVY right hands on the mouth as she nimbly works in and out on Nia - Peeples looking shopworn, following Carpenter around the ring and getting picked apart. A licking 3 punch volley of straight lefts and rights caroms off Peeple's face, leaving her blinking, defenceless, and Carpenter starts to wade in. Wide left hook on the ear sets up the short right hand on the mouth, over and over as Nia is herded numb to the ropes. Seconds left, Peeples taking punches - champ pathetic as she leans forward, hands pushing weakly back at Charisma as Carpenter's fists tear home and THE REF JUMPS IN! It's over! Charisma Carpenter lifts Nia Peeple's belt in 2 blistering heats! TKO2 Charisma Carpenter.

After: Carpenter never better - Peeples maybe never worse - it's a recipe for upset. Nia clearly undertrained, and worse, without a plan in this fight, thinking she could just step-to Charisma and wear her out. Carpenter unpacking her dormant boxing skills, showed a classy jab, brilliant distance judgement and staggering power as she HEAPED it on a listless Nia Peeples in minute after minute of furious punching. A champion once again - Carpenter hoisted high on the shoulders of her cornermen, crying tears of joy - talk about a 'roller coaster' career.
