Havana Brown vs Danni Minogue

Danni clearly frustrated about losing her right to challenge Penny Higgs for the title this evening. She is coming off 3 impressive wins none more so than the destructive of her arch nemesis Cheryl Cole at The Ashes.

Havana also comes into this with winning Ashes form with a victory over Jade Ewan and also an impressive KO victory over Sandy Moelling.

Round 1

Danni leads with her jab. Brown strong, holding her ground and also jabbing. Havana getting the better of it early, landing a few quick jabs on the Minogue chin. Second minute, Havana tentative and careful, cutting off the space and puts that jab hard onto the Minogue chest. Late in the round, Minogue is skirting the ropes, eyes wide, breathing a little heavy. Brown slogs a right hook at Danni, big roundhouse that smacks the jaw, Danni sturdy though, sees it off but is backing away to the ropes. The ref is watchful, Minogue is a little shaky. Brown attacks, guard in tight, grinning. Places the jab on Danni's chin again, jams the right hand into her mid section, places that right hook square on the jaw again. Danni bouncing off the ropes, mouth agape, shimmies to the opposite corner shaking it off again. She's hurt, getting punished as Havana chases her down. Little Havana, swiping hooks to the legends mid section, Minogue covers up in shock as the bell ends the round but a final hook upstairs catching Danni on the chin and puts her head over the top rope. Havana belting Minogue from bell to bell.

Round 2

Danni slow off the stool. High guard, watchful. Minogue pokes her left toward her smaller opponent. Fires a flurry of jabs at Havana's face. She's on her toes now, dancing to and fro, better movement from Minogue. Havana retreating a little, copping leather to the lip, cheek and forehead. Danni more comfortable now, dictating the fight and the space, working the jab, putting one twos together. And finding a way to twist into some solid body shots to Havana's waist. Midway through, Danni pounds the body then pops a hard right hand to Havana's nose, catching all of it. Havana stunned, but this is using up Danni's power and Brown returns fire with some hard punching, forcing Minogue to withdraw. Havana back on top late in the round. Getting back in behind that jab like in the first, walking Danni down, upping the pressure. It's a close round but Danni has Havana thinking.

Round 3

The AWUBA legend increases the workload and the pressure. Danni's perfectly placed jabs have the little blonde DJ on the retreat. Brown courageous, using the ring, trying to get the upper hand is she did late in the second. Looking for the openings but they don't come. Minogue's guard is high and tight, presenting the body but the little girl won't lash out. Midway through, both girls go toe to toe, feathery jabs to the mid section and face, Havana comes away visibly shaken from the exchange. Danni slings a LEFT UPPERCUT at Browns chin as they come together, her head pops up for Minogue to lash her temple with a SWIPING RIGHT HOOK and DOWN GOES HAVANA! Blonde girl spun sideways and crashes to the mat. Worrying signs for her corner but she gets to her knees halfway through the count and is bravely up at 8, the Ref lets her carrying on. She's on shaky legs and Danni comes in again, punching Havana's head back, follows it up with more jabs to Browns bleeding lip, pushing her to the ropes. Browns guard is a shambles. Minogue moves in, swiping away Havana's weak guard, and opening her up for a SLINGING RIGHT HOOK, crunching hard on the temple. Havana goes limp against the side rope, then DOWN SHE GOES falling like tall (or short) timbers to the canvas! - KO3 DANNI MINOGUE!

Brutal KO there by the ACB legend and poor Havana is in a bad way in the corner. Danni was slow to get away there but is in such fine form at the moment that she can't really put a foot wrong. I think if anyone is going to shake up the Flyweight division in the BBU it is Danni Minogue.
