If Alesha Dixon's leadership among the Beever Babes' bantamweights is questioned then Lisa Maffia's status is even in worse condition especially after the signing of Camilla Luddington from Tech Europe. Georgie Thompson is always fond of the spicy rumours and the word on the street is that 2014 might well be Maffia's last season not only in the Beevers but also the entire BBU. "The retirement talk starts right here!', the blonde reporter shows little sympathy to the former champion's career prospects and while Maffia faces another veteran, Melanie Brown, she's hardly a favorite following a string of heavy losses in recent months. 

On the other hand Mel B scored couple of good wins last year but was underused by the Lioness management and even though she's pushing 39 this May, she feels a good decade younger physically and vows to beat Lisa up in Belfast tonight before launching herself back into the divisional contention. Apparently the likes of Tulisa Contostavlos, Una Healy and Sophie Monk are under severe scrutiny by the former Spice Girl but first she needs to make Maffia's life a living hell on Earth!

Round 1:
Lisa on the move early, determined to stamp her authority over the fellow singer, zips past Mel's initial jabbing and buries a solid right on the tummy, bounces off the rack and seeks connection with the jaw but falls into overhand counter as Mel's not impressed by that start and whacks Maffia on the eye before cleaning out her rack too as both women settle for a happy flyweight-like punchfest until Lisa thinks better of it and jumps back into safety. Mel steady with her approach, doesn't rush it and awaits another Maffia charge which comes soon, more jabbing on the cleavage bounces Mel's boobs but the heavy right hand pierces Lisa's guard and nails her on the chin to force another stalemate as Maffia has the early numbers but Brown the noteworthy blows.

Round 2:
More efforts from Maffia who once again leaps into early barrage only to bounce off Mel's forearms and fall into piercing counter as she gets her head whipped aside after a left/right combo on the nose and Brown's quick to follow up, pummels the rack and has Lisa wobbling back but there's no immediate punishment as Mel keeps the cool customer attire and is just happy to see Lisa having to adjust her stance. Single hand approach from the Beevers' singer makes little progress and as Mel swings around the head in the final minute it's nearly panic station for Maffia who doesn't seem to enjoy getting thoroughly punched into defeat and Mel surely has that big haymaker in her.

Round 3:
Brown more agile at the start, collision course between the singer in the middle of the ring and allthough Maffia tags the temples, gets nailed hard on the nose in response and Mel settles into the close range much better, staggers the younger singer with more jabbing on the chest and flicks an uppercut that just skims off target and enables Maffia to lock a clinch. Mel's too strong on her feet to allow Maffia to bide some time though and shrugs her off with a clever hip movement, digs a low hook on the liver area and bends Lisa to the side before following the Alesha Dixon move from few minutes ago and tags the temple to send Maffia sagging on the ropes. Lisa's arms are slow to get up and Mel just pours on her face, bounces off both cheeks to leave them swollen and slices across the mouth to take full control with Maffia just covering up and allowing Brown to clean out her stomach until the bell with Mel having it all too easy given the former champion's pedigree.

Round 4:
That Maffia retirement talk didn't come out of nowhere as the Beevers singer has no tools to bother Mel tonight, another lacklustre approach results in fruitless jabbing on the midsection which fuels the counter fire from the ex-Spice Girl who just whips Lisa's head to the side with another cross-hooking piledriver. Maffia stumbles to the side but gets no respite whatsoever as Mel works up high with the guard absent, reels the younger singer to the ropes where she switches to punish Lisa's chest and it's a moaning mess for the ex-champion who tries to to cover up but gets plastered on the chin with a swift uppercut in the middle of that Brown frenzy and JUST SLIDES ONTO THE CANVAS with the punishment now reaching the red zone... Mel strictly business about the knockdown, eyes her aching foe up after the count ends at seven and allthough Maffia's up on her feet she's unable to prevent more piercing Spice Girl leather... Mel pounces on her midsection again and batters firmly to the ropes spiking the ribcage and shaking off a lame clinching effort, another quick hook on the chin sends Lisa on the turnbuckle but bell comes to her rescue just as Brown tagged her on the temple and just missed the follow up on the nose to completely underline her dominance.

Round 5:
Lisa's face is quite swollen already with Mel coming straight out of the fashion journal instead and she continues the dissection of the Beevers' girl from the start of the fifth again; dominant on her feet and too easy to spike the aching ribs as Maffia can only moan in all kinds of bother which only increases when another uppercuts nails her on the jaw and sends trembling across the canvas... Mel with overhand jabbing, snaps Maffia's head back & forth and it's getting worse for the ex-champ who loses her footing in a chaotic avoidance effort, falls forward straight into the path of Brown's right hand that smashes her on the nose AND SENDS TUMBLING ONTO THE SIDE with the non-stop barrage becoming worryingly unbereable... Maffia down on all fours, shakes her head and gets up at eight with tremendous difficulty, indicates to the ref she still wants some of this but that's a questionable call... Mel has no objections and springs into more facial leather, easily slices Maffia's gloves and whacks her on the nose and both cheeks; Lisa falls back onto the ropes and tries to clinch her rampant opponent but to no avail as Mel digs an elbow on the solar plexus and slams another cross-hook on her mouth; Maffia leans against the turnbuckle and eats unanswered jabbing series on both cheeks that drops her head for good and when a left uppercut crashes against her jaw she's out of Belfast already and bumps off Mel's chest before falling numb at her feet moments later... KO5 Melanie Brown!!!

AFTER: "Lisa Maffia won't suffer more severe beatdowns in her career even if she tried", an exstatic Georgie Thompson screams in the BBU TV booth and that was plain vicious from Mel B! But as the medics attend the unconscious Maffia and place her on a stretcher, the Scary Spice already thinks about the future and grabs the mic away from the ring announcer:

"Let's be clear here! I pretty much ended Lisa Maffia's career and it's goodnight and goodluck honey! Perhaps you're gonna join Denise van Outen as special TV co-co-host (laughs). But at least I must admit that Lisa had some talent for all she's worth! Both in singing and boxing! The same can't be said about that no-name slut Tulisa C.! It's about time someone really roughed her up and well, here's the news! It's gonna be me doing that roughing! Ain't that great?"
