Jolie: “It’s not her fault guys. She’s not going to be able to box me because she’s not going to be able to hit me. Rimes is just the latest of these kind of glamour boxing girls. She puts on some gloves at a photoshoot and thinks she has what it takes to get in the ring with me. You can just see when a girl lacks the heart. You can smell it on her. She trembles just a little when she’s starring in the eyes of the opponent. Those kinds of girls don’t last long against me.”

Rimes: “Well, she’s right. I’m unproven. Just like every great champion was at the start of their career. The reason Angelina is so well acquainted with the look and smell of failure is because she lives with it every day when she looks in a mirror! The only way I need to prove myself to Jolie will be with my fists, in that ring, on fight night.”

Round 1: Leann comes out of her corner like a shot! She charges out to center ring, looking to establish early. Jolie leaning on her back (left) leg, body and head tilted away from her opponent with her lead (right)glove extended to maintain space. Slick defense a la Mayweather as she’s letting Rimes in but avoiding all the damage. Jolie is slipping punches, ducking and dodging out of trouble. She’s an elusive beauty here, picking her spots for counters, but she’s willing to trade a round to see how Rimes attacks. It’s heady gamesmanship from the Oscar winner, as she rides out the round and goes back to her corner looking fresh as a daisy.

Round 2: Rimes is forcing herself on to Angelina, like she’s smothering a grease fire. Jolie still sipping and sliding in the pocket, playing peekaboo and throwing looping punches from angles. Rimes keeps pumping away, pushing and shoving her girl to keep her stacked on the ropes. Leann can’t seem to make solid contact as Angelina catches or slips the worst of it, showcasing her veteran wiles as she rides out the storm with minimal damage.

Round 3: Angelina comes out knowing she’s dealing with a motivated girl. She has to keep pace with this blonde Energizer Bunny across the ring. Jolie has her lead hand extended, bobbing and probing for an opening. Her left glove is tucked in tight to her chin as she slithers like a cobra looking to strike. And strike she does! Angie springs out of her crouch with a flurry of stinging punches. In the face of this newfound aggression, Rimes doesn’t blink. She muscles forward, punching with Jolie blow for blow. Angelina began the exchange, but Leann looks to finish it. At the end of the round, it’s Rimes still punching while Jolie is looking to regroup.

Round 4: Jolie showing angles now, getting back to that slick, southpaw style. Bolstered by her success in the last round, Leann closes in to trade with her guard high and tight. Jolie is backstepping... before she springs off that back foot and crunches Leann’s jaw! Big head swivel from Rimes as she sputters back, trying to pick up the pieces. Jolie is on her in a flash, digging into the body and mixing in huge uppercuts. Leann initiates the clinch, but Angelina manages to get in a few more thudding blows to ribs and tits before the ref issues the break. Angie trying to chase her girl down but Leann showing a stiff defensive jab to maintain distance. With ten seconds to go, Jolie changes direction, and throws a wild lead body hook. Leann cringes as her body caves around the blow. Not enough time for Angie to clean up, but she’s definitely grabbed the upper hand here in Round 4. She winks at the cramping blonde as they pass to their corners.

Round 5: Ice applied to the tender body of Leann Rimes. She’s pinking up bad from Jolie’s attack. Rimes comes out with those elbows tucked trying to avoid more abuse to her tortured body. Angelina unfazed by this new guard as that long right hand of Jolie finding a home on the cheek. She just seems to have all the answers right now, switching her focus from body to head to tits, taking whatever Leann is giving her. Rimes tries to clinch to buy a momentary reprieve, but Jolie THUNDERS up the middle digging uppercuts to jugs and ribs, freezing Leann in her tracks! Rimes in big trouble here, as Angelina Jolie pours it on. Scrubbing it up to the body and getting inside Rimes’ bra. Tidy little hook to the chin FINALLY makes Rimes bend the knee to the power punching Jolie. It’s a tense count as Leann stays down with her head bowed. She slowly pushed up at eight… and it looks like she’s ok to continue next round. Jolie blows her a little kiss as they pass on the way to their corners.

Round 6: Angelina’s corner is all smiles. but Jolie is showing a laser focus. She senses there is still resistance in the blonde across the ring and she needs to squash it! Jolie comes out for Round 6 looking to continue her dominance and really blow out Leann, but Rimes bears her teeth right back! Crowd noise deafening as these two beauties trade their best shots. Angelina still showing elusiveness, landing hooks and uppercuts, trying to curl shots to bite at vulnerable Rimes chin. She’s hunting for the home run punch to end the fight. Leann looking to punch straight at her foe, opting to pummel the tits and tummy, thanking her lucky stars that Jolie is stationary. Furious two way trade see Jolie absorbing the bigger shots, but she’s willing to pay the price as she’s searching for Leann’s off switch. Rimes gritting her teeth as she continues the digging into the torso of Jolie. The ref bravely dives in to separate these two hellcats, and they’re both lost in primal puncher mode and don’t heed the bell. A cold stare from Jolie is met with an equally frosty reception from Rimes. The crowd is going crazy for this kind of puncher’s fight!

Round 7: Rimes still seething from the hard-hearted exchanges last round. She still trying to trap Jolie as that strong body pressure paying off for Leann. As the girls meet mid-ring, Jolie looks to trade as Leann tucks home thudding hooks to the ribcage. Rimes grabs onto Jolie and bullies her back into the ropes as it’s the only way to slow down the slithering Jolie. Leann goes uptempo, daring Angelina to match the pace. Jolie covers up, looking to ride out the storm and counter when she can. Rimes can’t break through the tight shell, so she digs body. Jolies covers her tummy so Leann hunts the head. Now it’s Rimes, eyes lost in KO lust. She’s imposing her will on the shifty southpaw. Jolie is looking overwhelmed, she’s trapped against the ropes and she can’t get off. And it’s the right hook that DETONATES on Jolie’s chin as she crashes down on her side, parallel to the ropes. She’s shaken up badly as the ref starts counting. But Angelina is just staring off into space. She’s numb as the count climbs higher. At nine, she hasn’t started climbing the ropes. She’s been nailed to the canvas by the steady, churning attack of Rimes. And IT’S OVER!! Jolie can’t get up and it’s a victory for LEANN RIMES BY KO7!!

After: Rimes gracious in victory: “Angelina is so dangerous. We had a fight plan where we could NOT let her get loose in there. We knew that if we could smother her, then my natural power could take over. When she knocked me down in the fifth, I mean, that was my nightmare. I can’t beat her if I can’t hit her. But my corner calmed me down and helped me get back in it. Get back to that smothering pressure, you know? And you saw the result! That’s what happen to girls who step to Leann Rimes!”
Jolie dejected on her stool. She couldn’t quite get away from Rimes straighforward punching. “Leann didn’t do anything spectacular tonight. Honestly, I thought I had her through the sixth round. Then she got me in trouble and I guess she got lucky and caught me clean with a punch. She’s right to fear me. Nine times out of ten, I clean up on that girl. Rimes isn’t anything special and she used up all her luck tonight.”
