BBU MONDAY NIGHT FIGHTS IN BIRMINGHAM

(GARNET GUNNERS UK VS LIONESS CLUB)

Lioness Club's most successful fighter, Jessica Schwarz, continues her foray through the English opposition with another chapter of the BBU's top rivalry with Alesha Dixon seemingly only few weeks away. In fact Denise van Outen reports that Dixon's stable, the Beever's Babes have come up with a plan how to derail Schwarz's progress and claim the vital scalp which has deluded them since Dixon took the last victory of this duell back in March of last year. There's every chance the hottest Beevers' prospect Azealia Banks will fill in to help Alesha really soon but for now it's Jacqueline Jossa's turn to potentially cause some trouble to the former bantamweight champion.

Unlike the German actress who's fought at lightweight before, Jossa moved up from the flyweights and still gives away few pounds in Birmingham tonight plus Jessica's punching ability has long been proved in the BBU arenas and Denise van Outen is intrigued how will Jossa handle this sheer display of power. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Jacqueline Jossa wears a silver bikini top, red knickers and red gloves. Black hair tied in a ponytail. Jessica Schwarz wears a golden bikini top, black knickers and red gloves to match her national colors and trying to repeat Germany's trashing of Portugal in the currently held football World Cup according to her pre-fight interview.

Round 1:
Jessica wastes no time and starts thumping into her opponent's body straight from the bell, Jacqui accepted the early exchange but thinks better of it when she gets tagged viciously around the liver area and fails to slice through the German guard. Jessica works the single hand on the midriff until Jossa jumps away to safety thanks to some quick footwork and circles back; Schwarz doesn't rush things thereafter, keeps swinging around the younger brunette's head and almost teasing into any response but Jacqui's tactics don't include any unneccessary risks so early in the bout.

Round 2:
That was a cagey opening round with Jossa avoiding a classic punchfest and she keeps the slow pace in the second round again, Schwarz makes weak connections with single hand approach but almost gets plastered by a vicious hook on the head as Jacqueline responds to some jeering from the crowd and finally shows some mean intentions. But she ducks underneath Jessica's counter and clinches her, keeps the distance afterwards too and just doesn't want to engage at all probably thinking too much about the German's lightweight background. What's her plan though?

Round 3:
Unexpected fireworks to start the third round as Jossa storms out of her stool and nails the older brunette on the jaw; Jessica suspected another overly defensive stance from her and got caught napping as the English actress rips into her cheeks thereafter and snaps the head back before drilling the chest to underline her dominance in the opening minute. Schwarz avoids getting mauled back to the ropes though even if her response bounces off the forearms and cuts the air as Jossa shows superior speed and just doesn't allow the ex-champ to tame the onslaught or even punish the flesh. More spirited jabs crash off Jessica's ribcage before Jacqueline circles away into mid-distance again to see out the round leaving the older girl annoyed at the bell.

Round 4:
Jessica tries to ignite some speed but she can't match Jossa at all in the opening minute and skims off the guard repeatedly as the younger girl counters her and nails on the temples instead to impress the crowd and Denise van Outen in the booth. Peak-a-boo stuff from the English girl who maintains her confidence and thumps single leather on Schwarz's body down the stretch and increases the level of frustration in the former champ's eyes. Jessica can't escape getting clinched one time when she managed to close right up to her opponent and then gets pummelled around the elbows to lose another mini-battle; Jacqueline staggers in the middle of the ring, adds a clean cross-hook on the mouth before jumping away with a big smile on her face!

Round 5:
It's a real surprise to see Jessica looking so cumbersome as she just can't find her rhythm at all and has to follow Jacqui's gameplan and chase her fruitlessly around the ring; the age difference could play a part in this too and while Schwarz finally finds something on Jossa's chest she gets creamed on the temples again and wobbles to the side as the younger brunette rips into the ribcage again to push her against the turnbuckle. Drilling jabs bounce off the liver area and make the German moan, Jacqueline snaps her head back with couple of uppercuts to keep the older actress trapped for remainder of the round and digs more leather on the navel as Schwarz settles for a subdued clinch just to survive the onslaught. Jossa pulling away on points according to van Outen and there's a major upset on the cards!

Round 6:
All credit to the English brunette who keeps bothering Schwarz with her movement and digs more single shots on the body, doesn't seek any facial damage yet and prefers to slow the stronger woman down. Jessica struggles to dominate but she's not that hurt either and keeps swinging futile leather for another round, only grazes the cheeks and peppers the guard but she's dropped going all in with the famed power of hers, settles for a low-key round and even Denise van Outen is puzzled whether she's just saving energy for a late haymaker finish since that can never happen if Jossa maintains the superior agility for remainder of the bout.

Round 7:
Another calm before the storm-like opening to the round, both women settle into mid distance single hand approach allthough Jacqueline works some combos off the guard and throws more leather trying to unsettle the German opponent. Jessica fails to blink just yet and looks happy she's not being chased around as she refuses the chase herself. Down the stretch she becomes more aggressive and splits Jossa's mitts a couple of times, connects with the cheeks but doesn't follow up setting up more tension around the arena. Jacqueline doesn't weave around on her feet so often and tries to stay within the striking range, switches low inside the final minute to seek more damage around Schwarz's elbows but bounces off a low cover and is lucky not to fall into a series of uppercuts as Jessica tags her chest with the first one but leans too much forward afterwards and gets clinched instead.

Round 8:
Jossa still ahead on points according to van Outen but she becomes even more aggressive as the German comeback is nowhere to be seen, the ribcage assault brings more success this time as Schwarz is staggered in the middle of the ring after a series of committed spikes, she reverts into the chest uppercuts but Jossa closes right up and digs some leather into the liver area to make the ex-champ moan and cover up after a brief struggle. Overhand follow up nails Jessica on the nose and Jacqueline moves for more facial damage, pummels both temples and spins a cumbersome looking German back to the ropes where she punishes her navel with more drilling efforts, avoids getting clinched and just shoves the older brunette butt-in-ropes and smacks her nose with a powerful cross-hook to secure another round and even though Schwarz looks unmoved at the bell, Denise van Outen thinks she's found herself in a hole that is too deep to recover from.

Round 9:
Schwarz comes out subdued, arms dropped to the side and tweaking her head from side to side, looking totally unable to do anything against the English menace; Jossa springs into action smelling blood and who can blame her, she's just six minutes away from arguably the biggest win of her career. She thumps more leather on the ribcage and dominates the close range exchange, Schwarz wrestles her at bay for a while but fails to punish the chest like she did to some extent in the previous round and gets shoved close to the ropes, still has some space to move to the side as Jacqueline comes flying with a piercing hook and splits the mitts against the odds, bounces off the nose and turns the German to the side. More jabs on the body send the ex-champ backing into the ropes before a series on the navel bends her forward... Schwarz ducks low and Jossa misses the put away hook on the temple, steps back and tries to set up another one, skims off the shoulder as Jessica moved to the other side and second guessed the attacking choice, sends a countering right hook herself and nails Jossa clean on the ear... The thump is heard all around BBU as JACQUELINE WOBBLES FORWARD AND GOES DOWN ON HER KNEES right at the German's feet... even Denise van Outen can't believe what just happened and loses the words in her mouth... Huge one-punch knockdown for the ex-champin sends the so impressive English girl counting stars... Jossa tries to get up but has difficulties, uses the ropes to finally claw herself up at seven but wobbles against the turnbuckle and the ref has no choice but to call the bout off on the spot!!! TKO9 Jessica Schwarz in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Poor Jacqui is so dazed in the corner she doesn't even argue with the decision but that was a mammoth punch from Jessica who just shakes her head with a big smile on her face. Denise van Outen thinks she's not surprised by that finish but rather confident that was always going to end like that despite Jossa building a huge lead on the cards. Humble pie time for the BBU TV reporter though as she must admit the hole wasn't deep enough for someone of the German's experience and success to mount a prolific recovery. But she was given her fair share of trouble and while it might have worked against Jossa, the likes of Alesha Dixon and Beevers' newest money girl Azaelia Banks won't hang around to see their chances shattered like that.

Spare a tought for Jacqueline too, one of the cleanest and hardest punches of the season derailed what couldn't have been the Upset of the Year candidate but she's still young enough to learn her lessons from tonight's downfall. With the likes of Rosie Jones and Sacha Parkinson making incredible progress elsewhere in the division, the 90s generation looks to be in safe hands as the experienced veterans like Schwarz and Dixon might still keep themselves afloat for a while but are challenged extremely hard by the hungry vixens. The BBU hasn't heard the last of JJ and her peers!

Final result: Jessica Schwarz def. Jacqueline Jossa TKO9.
