'I can still fit into my Baywatch swimsuit!', claims Brooke Burns before her upcoming fight against Karolina Kurkova who's equally determined to make her Boxing on the Beach mark but admits Burns has far more experience in the genre having pummelled the likes of Pamela Anderson and Anjelica Bridges during her heyday. 'I've heard all the rumours what happened once the Baywatch girls decided to have some fun. Brooke was as vicious as they come but that was a decade ago and if they ever revive the series I could be filling her role now!'

Brooke Burns is a former model herself and it's a rare chance to witness her in the ring which makes the Cannes cameo impressively exclusive. However Denise van Outen believes that if she doesn't embarrass herself tonight she's poised to face both Main Event co-stars Malika Menard and Elisabetta Canalis later in the summer.

Karolina Kurkova wears a white bikini with red stripes and blue gloves. Brooke Burns wears a yellow bikini with white trim and red gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Burns has not seen action for a while and it's understandable she tries to settle herself first but Kurkova jumps at her immediately after the bell and targets the body, loops solid jabs against the ribcage before flicking more leather on the chest but the American shows some core strenght and fires away over the top clubbing the cheeks with single hands before circling away. Karolina chases her down and tries to pin on the back foot however a piercing response on the chest keeps bothering her and prevents from making further inroads. Both girls settle into mid-range and show signs of mutual respect but Kurkova still wants to make a noteworthy entrance and loops more jabs around the elbows before a crunching left hook catches her on the jaw and forces backwards as Burns indicates why she caused all those problems to Pamela Anderson years ago.

Round 2:
Kurkova ignites some pace into her movement and rips into Brooke's ribcage again but eats a jabbing series on the temples and wobbles forward as the American shows superior accuracy to overcome the ammount of effort from the younger blonde. She clubs Karolina's face in close range and whips her on the back foot, follows up with a straight jab on the nose and wobbles to the side. A burst of speed enables her to slam more jabs against the navel and Kurkova loses her stance, turns further to the side and struggles to clinch Brooke who whacks her on the jaw with a fierce uppercut and reels back towards the ropes. Burns throws ribcage leather and bends the Czech model forward, tries to find another uppercut to add more insult to the wounds but bounces off the guard and falls into a late clinch with Karolina looking a bit desperate to avoid the Baywatch menace.

Round 3:
Burns starts to dictate the pace of the fight, keeps the younger blonde at bay with piercing jabs through the guard and sends her for a tripo across the sand upping the tempo to the point Kurkova can't match it and settles back into mid-range. More determined approach from the American enables her to catch Karolina along the ropes though as the Czech becomes too defensive and gets whooped on the cheeks from both hands, Burns turns on the Anderson nightmare and tries to slash herself on Kurkova's face but gets clinched and shoved against the turnbuckle; the younger blonde visibly annnoyed by the veteran's lack of rustiness. Both girls trade low jabs on the ribcage and kick sand on each other's shins trying to establish control, Burns closes right up and bounces off her foe's chest to wobble her back and move away from the corner herself. She beats Karolina for a quick overhand just before the bell and makes the Czech model moan in frustration nicking another round according to Denise van Outen in the booth.

Round 4:
Karolina tries some power shots on the chest but gets clubbed around the elbows in close range and covers up instead as Burns bumps into her again looking to unsettle her off the feet. More piercing jabs follow but Kurkova avoids getting send back to the ropes before firing away over the top and catching the American on the nose, another quick right hand finds the same area and wobbles Brooke for the first time in a while and both girls soon jump at each other just hammering away in mindless fashion. Kurkova slips by a wayward hook on the temple and pumps her gloves into Brooke's breasts, makes her gasp for air and struggle to stay in the exchange, this time a late hook on the temple has the older blonde trembling at the bell and Karolina bumps into her as they head for the corners indicating she's not gonna allow any guest appearance spoil her day. It's still a long way to go though and Burns looks anything but overwhelmed so far.

Round 5:
More clubbing hooks catch Burns on the ribcage as Kurkova storms out of her stool and looks to finally cause a noteworthy damage to the Baywatch blonde. Frantic exchange follows and Kurkova switches to uppercuts on the chest to remove more air from Brooke's lungs and force her into a clinching attempt. Czech model bumps into her with the cleavage though and Brooke's feet get stuck in the sand causing her to drop the arms; subsequently a piercing left hook nails the American on the temple moments later and makes her hair fly around the neck before a jabbing follow up on the face bounces off the cheeks and sends her spinning onto the ropes. Karolina pours on with vicious body assault and spikes the navel, has Burns earmuffed in defence but still finds a couple of punches to the side of her breasts and screams out in delight at the bell having secured her most impressive round to date.

Round 6:
Burns tries to regain control of the fight and storms out of her stool herself to meet Karolina's piercing jabs in the middle of the ring, both girls simply whack each other on the head and while the Czech model skims off the cheek, the older blonde bounces off the mouth and snaps the head back more effectively, pours on with an uppercut series on the chest afterwards and forces Kurkova back. Burns turns on the pace afterwards and tries to catch her foe into more close range misery, yet gets blocked off along the ropes as Karolina slips by under a slowish overhand and spikes the American's ribcage instead. Single hand approach follows but both girls lack precision and fail to punish each other for remainder of the round even though Karolina's lip begins to swell following that big punch and Brooke's cheeks look quite reddened as well. Crowd anticipates a late flurry in the remaining rounds so it's perhaps understandable that the action slows right down for a change; the fight still void of any knockdowns and anyone's for the taking.

Round 7:
Brooke's fitness must be questioned given her extended inactivity period in recent months and Karolina realizes she's technically favored to make a successful pounce in the closing rounds; she refuses to hang around for much longer in the seventh and digs into the older blonde's tummy, slips by an overhand response as Brooke can only graze the cheeks and feels the heat around her midsection with Kurkova leaning forward and just pumping leather with high intensity. She manages to turn Brooke to the side and find a crisp uppercut on the jaw to force the American backwards and bouncing off the ropes... left hook from Burns goes nowhere and the Czech model whacks her with a right hand on the jaw herself, sags the former Baywatch vixen on her knees and pummels towards the turnbuckle but runs out of time to really break her down her despite clearly landing more noteworthy blows in this round.

Round 8:
There's still a competitive spark in Brooke's eyes and she refuses to step back and protect any lead she possibly has from the earlier rounds. She's much slower on her feet though and fails to prevent Karolina from landing looping hooks on the body which stagger her in the middle of the ring. Kurkova drives forward with more leather, bumps into the American and prevents her from stretching the elbows and therefore skewing off the forearms before a clubbing uppercut slices the mitts and bounces off Brooke's chin. Kurkova outworks her foe thereafter and lands more shots on the cheeks as the American's guard shows major cracks and forces her to seek a clinch; Kurkova spikes the ribcage trying to shrug her off though and shows some strenght by wrestling Burns towards the ropes where she eats a series on the stomach but only leans further on the older blonde and slams her on the navel in a heated exchange. Both girls remain locked on the ropes until the bell but Burns breaths very heavily as she walks back to her stool and looks dangerously flamed out.

Round 9:
Brooke tries to settle in mid-range but Karolina's pace combined with a cross-hooking combo on the head splits the mitts and leaves a couple of nasty lumps as the swelling on the American's face finally cracks under the continuous pressure. Kurkova works the overhand jabbing to stagger Burns in the middle of the ring and the ammount of punches breaks the resilience down the stretch as the older blonde tries to weave herself out of the striking zone only to stumble in the sand and drop her arms as the Czech model drills her cheeks with a heavy left/right combo... Burns hits the soft knees button and yelps in pain as Karoline sets her up with a left hook on top of the forehead before a crunching right hand catches the temple and SENDS BROOKE FACE-FIRST INTO THE SAND... The Cannes crowd errupts in joy as the Czech model shakes her glove in delight and watches on as her opponent rather slowly beats the count at seven. Burns' face is quite swollen here and she opens her eyes wide to accept what just happened. She only covers up after the command and invites Kurkova into more damaging onslaught; piercing jabs on the chest slice the mitts and throw the clearly affected American onto the ropes where Karolina pounds away to glory trying to turn Brooke's stomach into a mush before landing another uppercut on the chin right at the bell to leave the Baywatch girl slumping against the ropes.

Round 10:
Kurkova moves for the kill and Burns on the panic station just trying to avoid the leather; she can't quite match the pace of the younger blonde though and falls into another spiking barrage soon, gets thrown onto the ropes when Karolina shatters her arms apart and whips the mitts against the chest, works furiously in her efforts to secure a late KO and Brooke moans without any meaningful resistance, gets shoved butt-in-ropes but earns a lucky break as Kurkova's frantic onslaught whacks her on the kidneys and forces ref to stop the beating and lecture the rampant model. Burns stumbles to the side and rests on the turnbuckle but mounts one final response as she ducks underneath an overhand hook on the nose and looks to punish Kurkova's ribs herself. But she's got little strenght left in her and gets countered on the navel as the younger blonde just shoves her away and beats for a cross hook on the nose to whip her head backwards and leave sagging on the ropes. Another piercing series destroys the guard and bounces off the mouth to almost switch Burns' lights out, one last hook on the rack finally forces her down; BAYWATCH GIRLS SLUMPS ONTO HER BACKSIDE and that could be that according to BBU TV! Kurkova struts away to her corner but a moaning Brooke just can't be send home prematurely and she lifts herself off the sand at eight, looking quite battered but avoiding the KO daze and that makes the Czech blonde really impressed as she signals that's all she had for tonight as well. The last few seconds bring no more action and we're going to the scorecards...

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... judges score the bout 98-93, 97-93 and 98-92 all for your winner through unanimous decision... KAROLINA KURKOVA!!!

AFTER: The Czech model shakes her head in disbelief but smiles for the ages as she secures a second consecutive victory over non-European opposition having conquered Gal Gadot in equally gruesome ten rounds just few weeks ago. That's a perfect way to make up for the Adriana Lima Ice Hotel disaster last year and she even earns a pad on the back from Burns who seemingly enjoys her return to the ring more than losing on the cards. Sometimes these amazons can really show each other a great deal of respect and that's the case tonight, all the pre-fight talk goes out of the window and instead of Walk of Shame both girls raise their hands to dwell on the Cannes crowd ovations.

That's bad news for Sarah Harding who was poised to pounce on the post-fight mayhem but there simply isn't any to speak of and as the crowd gears up for the Main Event she joins Kurkova and Burns for a bottle of wine back in the hotel already.

BBU TV managed to catch a quick word with both the combatants beforehand though and Brooke confirms she's just relieved to be offered this opportunity after drifting off the FCBA radar in recent years and offers Kurkova the best of luck in her future endeavours. Meanwhile the Czech model admits she's fortunate to have faced Burns as the first in queue and warns that both Malika Menard and Elisabetta Canalis will struggle to match her performance in the upcoming weeks. Because it's official now that the former Baywatch starlet plans to stay in Europe for a little longer over the summer and it's not only the French wine she will be going after.
