This is the utlimate wooden spoon fight since both of these girls haven't won in ages! Myleene Klass last tasted success when she upset Hannah Spearritt in January 2012 while Kimberley Walsh's dire spell dates even two months longer to a cruel stoppage of Mollie King during the Girls Aloud vs The Saturdays showdown in November 2011. Now that Nadine Coyle threatens to make a solid run during the summer, Kimba realizes she's poised to become the Girls Aloud's perennial jobber and this has spurred her onto top of the Lioness Club schedule even forcing Cheryl Cole's planned duel with Lea Seydoux to shade. Myleene looked awfully bad against another of the lionesses, Rhiannon Fish, just few weeks ago and Denise van Outen openly claims that if Walsh can't beat her tonight she should just retire on the
Myleene Klass wears a lacy black basque top, red knickers and red gloves. Kimberley Walsh wears a red basque top, white knickers and black gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1: Kimberley shows more agility from the bell as Myleene's confidence looks suspect after that Rhiannon Fish trashing and she gets nailed repeatedly on the head inside the opening minute, Kimba with a rare chance to score heavily and dominate the fight as she whips a vicious right/left combo to really bend her foe's neck to the side and make her moan. More aggressive jabbing follows and Klass can't respond anyhow, allows Walsh to pound her towards the ropes with midesection switch, fires from behind the guard late on though and manages to slice Kimba's mitts and bounce off her cheeks. The Girls Aloud singer stops briefly in wake of that assault, doesn't lean on Myleene at all and falls into a ribcage follow up as Klass steps away from the ropes and just bashes Kimba's body making her moan at the bell which Denise van Outen meets with a huge shrug of the head.
Round 2: Klass really enjoyed that late and unexpected flurry and squares up to Walsh from the bell now; targets the head and exposes the well known flaws of the younger blonde, snaps Kimberley's head back in a swift change from the opening round and dominates the close range herself. Kimba tries to stand firm but gets nailed on the brow ridge and retreats come the minute mark as Klass chases her down the stretch and sends more jabs on the head. Walsh backs herself into the ropes but slips by a hooking approach and slams a right/left combo on the temple, wobbles Klass briefly and sends another series on the mouth to rock Myleene's head in another twist of events. Klass shrieks in discomfort but leans on the blonde and lays into her body, loses this battle though as Kimba just snaps her head at will and gives her a solid bruising on the right hand side with the piercing left jabs doing all the important damage and staggering the older singer for good.
Round 3: Much slower start to the third round as both girls are unwilling to keep up with the impressive pace of the opening two rounds but Walsh gets more aggressive down the stretch and works her left hook on the cheek to a great extent with Klass' punching resistance badly exposed. She tries to respond and pummels through on the rack briefly, gets blocked off eventually and spikes the forearms in futile showing, eats a quick overhand on the nose and falls into another jabbing series thereafter as Kimba just pounds her on the right eye with rapid fire and dominates the close range again. Myleene's head snaps back and she reverts into a desperate cover but gets nailed twice on the eye again and earns herself a nasty swelling, becomes overprotective in the final minute but can't escape getting laced back onto the ropes where Kimberley slams her ribcage without much response and leaves the older girl gasping for air and checking her wounded eye at the bell to bring a smile on Denise van Outen's face in the booth.
Round 4: Myleene just can't soak up much punishment and it's an old story for the brunette who looks very slow and too roughed up already with the swelling around her right eye growing impressively during the interval. Of course Kimberley noticed that and now charges at the older girl with more left hand approach and the guard offers no cover for the poor Klass. Kimba slams her piercing left hook against the cheek and snaps the head back repeatedly, throws a truly cumbersome Myleene onto the ropes where she just hammers away with that left hook and drops her foe's head between the shoulder, sends a right hand uppercut on the jaw just after the two minute mark and lifts Klass' head again only to close her eyes and SEND CRASHING FACE-FIRST ONTO THE CANVAS... Myleene goes down with a whimper and remains on all fours when the count reaches ten and well, it just couldn't have gone any worse for her tonight! KO4 Kimberley Walsh!!
AFTER: So it's not exactly the day of Kimberley's retirement after all and she celebrates this extremely rare success like she's won the divisional title outright! She climbs the ropes and blows kisses to the Cardiff crowd as poor Klass remains staring down at the canvas after another horrible showing which fully exposed her woeful punching resistance.
But what's worse, Kimba isn't done with her yet and approaches her all of a sudden, throws a big kick to the ribs to send her rolling onto her back and before Denise van Outen knows it, she jumps on top of Myleene's face and starts riding her in the middle of the ring to further increase the crowd's applause! Poor Myleene can't do anything about it as her legs kick out in frustration but after best part of a minute they are rendered numb and only then Kimba gets dragged away from her fallen opponent who's lost her consciousness and leaves the arena on a stretcher. Meanwhile Kimberley stays ringside for the last bout of the night and in fact she wants to pounce on Gabriella Cilmi next predicting a swift Charlotte Church victory to make her task that much easier!
Final result: Kimberley Walsh def. Myleene Klass KO4.
