PRETTY LITTLE PUNCHERS FRIENDS & FOES PPV
FIGHT #3

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Before: “I’ve won three fights in a row now,” Lucy Hale proudly tells the press, “and I’ll admit it took me a long time to learn how to win. Now I feel ready to start building on my success. I’m really looking forward to beating Lea. I mean, her show’s seen its best days and I think her singing could use some work, but she’s still a name to a lot of people and my taking her out will get some serious attention.”
Lea Michele looks angerily at Lucy (who gives her a mischievous grin), but then stomps up to the podium: “She talks awfully big for someone whose show isn’t even on a real network—ABC Family is even tinier than The CW. She’s lucky I even agreed to this fight. I could get a REAL singer and a REAL actress to fight me any time, but I am going to fight her.”
Lucy folds her arms across her chest and gives Lea an icy look as she says: “You will regret that. Lea.”
Fight night finds Lucy in a white bikini top, ruffled blue-checkered bottoms and blue gloves. Her gathered in battle braid with a blue and white bow on the bottom. Lea in hot pink bikini top and white bikini bottoms, and pink gloves. Long brunette hair allowed to hang loosely. Both icy during referee’s instructions. Glove touch turns into an unexpected test of strength as two try to use gloves to push the other back. Fans love it, but referee pushes in to spoil the contest and order the girls to their respective corners.
R1: Lucy is a petite brunette ball of fire as she comes zipping out of her corner and catches Lea by surprise with a furious bombardment of punches, mainly hooks to Lea’s body. Lea retreats to try to pull herself together, but Lucy’s a little tigress just pumping in those hooks to the body. Lea driven all over the ring, but manages to avoid the ropes. Some defensive jabbing from Lea, but Lucy finishes by lobbing some shots over Lea’s raised gloves to smack her eyebrows and forehead. Lucy finishes with some more hooks to the belly that have Lea up on her toes, her legs shuddering with the impacts, but she does not go down. Defiant glare from Lea in response to a triumphant Lucy smirk at the bell.
R2: Lea Michele battles back in this round. Lucy’s out quickly again, but Lea’s got her jab ready and Lucy gets her face full of hard-driven leather before she can pull back looking stunned. Lea launches a counterattack with some very nifty quick combinations that batter Lucy’s head from side to side before Lucy can hit back. Lea smiling grimly as she tries to drive Lucy back, but Lucy hangs in there, taking lumps to face and eventually the body without retreating. Lea’s turn with the triumphant smirk on her face as a sweaty and swollen face Lucy Hale pretends to ignore it.
R3: Lucy zips out of her corner with renewed energy and slams into Lea gloves digging at opponent’s gut to bend her forward. Then crashing uppercut sends Lea reeling backwards suddenly wobbly butt. Lucy charges in , but can’t get a clear shot at Lea’s chin and Lea stabilizes without going down. Lucy dances around Lea, trying to find an opening, but not finding much. Then, late in the round, Lea unexpected goes on the attack herself and scores to Lucy’s chin. Lucy shakes it off and strikes back to Lea’s midsection to the bell. Wide win on points for Lucy Hale, but Lea Michele’s battered—not beaten.
R4: Lea looks a bit sluggish coming off her stool. Looks like the hurt is accumulating and Lucy is quick to spot the signs of weakness. PLP fighter pounces on Lea early and often. Lea banged up around the head and pounded in the belly by hard-hitting Lucy leather. Lea driven back to the ropes. She slides along trying to escape Lucy’s ceaseless barrage of punches which seem to be coming at her from all directions. Lucy bouncing around Lea trying to control her desperate foe. Then, as Lea’s high guard falters, Lucy finds Lea’s chin and pumps in some quick teeth-rattling uppercuts. Lea is frozen and Lucy blasts lefts and rights to the jaw. Lea’s legs give out and she slides down the ropes, hanging with one arm over lower strand. Referee starts counting. Lea uses the ropes to pull herself erect, but she’s got unfocused, glazed eyes and is plainly out on her feet, Ref wisely spares Lea from further injury by waving it off. Lucy Hale jumps up in the air with excitement.
The winner: KO4 Lucy Hale.
After: Good win for Lucy Hale who tells press: “Lea did give me a couple of hard minutes, but really, I was a bit careless that point. I was never really in trouble and I am very pleased with my progress as a fighter. I can’t wait for my next fight!”
“I might have underestimated her,” Lea Michele concedes in her post-fight, “I let her get control of that fight early. I know I had her on the run in R2, but then I let her get back into it. The lesson I take away from this fight? When you’ve got a girl hurt, don’t let her recover and you’ll have a much better chance of winning.”
Looks like both young fighters see this bout as a learning experience. Time should tell who truly learned from it, but tonight it was the fans who got to enjoy at exciting bout of fighting petites. |
