BEFORE:

"Yes," says Emily with a smile, "I AM the ACB flyweight champion. And, yes, I know that some people here in the States don't pay much attention to federations other than the FCBA. Well, tonight I'll MAKE them pay attention."

"No," says Kristen with a shake of the head. "This fight isn't for her belt. And that's OK with me. I don't WANT her belt. I want the one Julianne Hough has. And Emily is just the next girl in my way."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside for the second half of our card, and that's 'Sweet Dreams' you hear, but that's not Annie Lennox doing the singing..."

McCarthy: "You know, I always liked that Andy Lennox guy..."

Tess: "Not ANDY..."

Cassie: "Is it worth it, Tess?"

Tess: "No, probably not..."

McCarthy: "What ARE you two talking about. Truck, tell these two to talk intelligently or keep quiet!"

Cassie: "And, if that's going to be the rule, feel free to pot Mac's mic all the way off, then rip off the knob and bury it in the Pine Barrens..."

O'Dell: "AHEM! As I was saying, that's NOT Annie Lennox, that's the lovely lady making her way to the ring, the Australian Flyweight Champion, Emily Browning.!"

McCarthy: "You know, when I was in Australia, some friends showed me the Southern Cross. It wasn't that big a deal..."

Tess: "Really? I've heard it's something to see..."

McCarthy: "Nah. It's just some big cross on top of a church in Sydney..."

O'Dell: "YouTube, here we come. And here comes Browning down the aisle and into the ring. Helped off with the robe by the Downunder Boxing corner crew to reveal a lovely white two-piece...and that's 'Helter Skelter' booming through the arena, and here comes 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

McCarthy: "I'm not sure what five tools she has, but, from what I've seen, they're a broken hammer and four rusty nails..."

O'Dell: "Stewart into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that lime green number she prefers. Ladies about ready. Let's get some picks. Tess likes Kristen. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Well, Browning might be champion of a Class AAA federation..."

Tess: "There's nothing 'AAA' ABOUT ACB..."

McCarthy: "But, the only thing Stewart is champion of is being a Dancing Hooker...and Browning's already DEALT with one of them. I'm picking Emily."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And there's the bell for round one. Browning quickly to work, bouncing in and out, flurrying with both hands, all movement from the Aussie champ. Stewart more controlled. Wants to use the long left jab to set up the laser right. Lots of action as both ladies are working hard and scoring."

Cassie: "This is the great thing about flyweight competition. A lot of action in almost every fight!"

O'Dell: "And this one is no exception. Both ladies looking to push pace here. Emily's here and there, getting to spots and scoring. Kristen with controlled footwork, leading the left, range-finding, then dropping in solid right hands. Good, two-way stuff here."

McCarthy: "Both girls landing some clean shots, too. No power blows, but stuff that scores points."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch and neither flyweight is slowing down. Kristen stopping Emily at times with the left, creating openings for the right. Browning doesn't stay stopped for long, though, getting right back to moving the feet, hopping, bouncing, scoring with flurries. Final seconds tick off in a good, close round. Stewart's, I think."

Tess: "Agreed, Jenny. Close, but Kristen up 10-9 after one."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with more action, quick flurries from both fighters. Browning on her horse now, circling this round, looking to stop and pop and using excellent hand speed to score quickly and then slip away before Stewart can respond."

Cassie: "This isn't just good quickness from Browning. A lot of boxing skill being displayed. She's timing Stewart very well."

O'Dell: "Kristen not getting flustered, sticking with the game plan. She's looking to jab and then cross, but not able to put punches together this round. Browning calling the tune, dictating pace and the length of the exchanges."

McCarthy: "I've often wished The Weirdo and The Hookers would move to Australia, and now I know why they don't. They'd get beaten down there just as much as they do here!"

O'Dell: "No question Emily is showing why she's the champion Downunder. Browning with educated feet. Circling, stopping, landing, reversing, keeping Stewart turning. Browning just an instant ahead right now, forcing Kristen to react. Stewart unable to land in combination. Final seconds tick away and there's the bell for the third, and Browning has evened things up."

Tess: "Excellent round for Emily. We're all tied at 19 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the third, and Browning giving that bicycle a workout. Bouncing, circling. Stewart trying to control with the jab, and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND, EMILY! Browing a shoulder-fired short right and Stewart's hurt!"

McCarthy: "Perfectly placed and perfectly timed."

O'Dell: "And Browning firing away with both hands now, driving a dazed Kristen back into the ropes. Emily looking to finish here. Stewart backed up, but now fighting back from the pocket, high guard, picking off punches and landing sharp in counter."

Cassie: "These are the terms K-Stew wants. Browning a more stationary target and Kristen able to find with that accurate shot of hers."

O'Dell: "Emily still buzzing away, but Stewart turning the tide now, fighting off the ropes, backing Browning up, landing sharp stuff. She's turned over to the offensive and is now forcing Browning into the role of counter-puncher..."

Tess: "No surprise. Stewart almost always rallies in a big way when she gets hurt..."

O'Dell: "And she's done that here, taking control as the final seconds tick off. There's the bell, and Kristen has made up the early stagger to even this round up."

Tess: "And that leaves the bout even at 29 after three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "The fourth begins with a more aggressive Kristen Stewart. K-Stew pressing forward behind the left hand, forcing Browning to back and circle instead of just circle. Kristen range-finding with the left successfully, banging the right home in follow. Emily off the back foot more now, looking for spots to bounce forward and flurry, but not finding many..."

Cassie: "As Tess pointed out, this is one of the things Front Street loves about Stewart. She doesn't get gun-shy when she gets hurt. She always responds with a rally."

O'Dell: "Browning on the back foot again, giving ground, circling back. Would love to bait Kristen into something, but I fear she's barking up the wrong tree there. Stewart, as always, controlled, methodical, accurately landing solid shot."

McCarthy: "Stewart landing with more power in this round than she has the first three. She's not hurting Browning, but she IS forcing her to cede canvas."

O'Dell: "Emily scoring in spots, able to counter on occasion as well, but Kristen's got the long left working, and she's using it to control the fight. Browning not getting frustrated or sloppy. Looking every bit the champion she is as she sticks to the plan and looks for her opportunities. She won't find any more this round. Final seconds tick off and there's the bell. Stewart's best round of the night."

Tess: "And it's earned her a 39-38 lead through four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with a change of tactics from Browning. Emily no longer circling. Showing good side-to-side and head movement, angling up, looking to bounce forward and land punches in bunches. Stewart responding with the jab and the keyhole right hands."

Tess: "Why is Emily getting away from legging it out, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Because Stewart solved that in the last round. She pressured behind the left and cut the ring and put Browning on the defensive. This is a good adjustment. She's getting to spots and scoring, not fighting off her back foot."

O'Dell: "And she's landing with more power as a result. Good, sharp stuff from Browning this stanza. Stewart getting work of her own done, as both fighters maintain the offensive, providing the back and forth action we've seen throughout the fight so far."

Cassie: "Good speed and accuracy from both girls this round. Both getting to good spots and landing a high percentage. Nothing sloppy about any of this."

O'Dell: "There most certainly is not. A lot of leather finding the target, especially from Emily. Browning managing to back Stewart up a step here and there. Final seconds ticking away in the fifth and there's the bell. We've hit the halfway point, and, if you scored that round for Emily like I did, we're all even."

Tess: "Another close one, but Emily gets the points, and that makes it 48-48 with five to go. Exactly the competitive fight we expected to see."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth round begins with a sharp exchange and then another! The war of movement has pretty much ended now as the fighters are using footwork now just to angle and square up. Browning still bouncing, flurrying, bouncing away. Stewart working from range, that long jab setting up the right hand."

Cassie: "More good stuff from these two. We knew coming in we had a pair of good young flys here, and they're both demonstrating why they're highly thought of."

O'Dell: "Indeed, they are, Cassie, and this one has become not just a contest of wills, but a contest of skills AND wills, as both ladies use the former to try to impose the latter as they struggle for control of canvas in the center of the ring."

McCarthy: "Stewart's made a subtle adjustment this round, double-tapping the jab to hold Browning just an extra instant so she can load that right a little more. It's having an effect."

O'Dell: "It certainly is, because now it's Kristen who's backing Emily up, it's just a step or two, but Kristen's gaining canvas as we come down the stretch in the sixth. Twenty to go. Browning a good one-two and Stewart responds with a flurry and a good right in there that backs Emily up again at the bell. Another good, close round, this one to K-Stew."

Tess: "This is a heck of a fight. 58-57 Stewart with four to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "We're back to action in the seventh, and action is what it's all about. Stewart and Browning right after one another, both looking to wrest control of this fight from the other. Emily bouncing, Kristen in a forward aspect, using the jab well both to score points and set up rights. Browning in, fires off a flurry, then back out."

McCarthy: "Lot to like about this Browning kid. Wonder if Downunder Boxing would entertain a trade offer..."

Tess: "Um, considering she's the ACB's reigning flyweight champ, I think the chances are slim..."

O'Dell: "Stewart backing Emily up with a right hand. And Kristen now pushing forward. She's beating Browning to punches now, forcing her over to the defensive. Emily giving canvas as Kristen backs her into the ropes..."

Cassie: "Kristen just in perfect rhythm right there. Wasn't speed she beat Emily with. They're pretty evenly matched in that category. She just pre-empted Browning, created a breakthrough and exploited it."

O'Dell: "And she's now got Emily trapped on the ropes and is going body..."

Tess: "Don't always see a lot of this from Stewart. She works mostly upstairs with that laser accuracy of hers, but she's digging like Neve Campbell right now..."

O'Dell: "Indeed she is. Browning trying to fight her way free, but Kristen keeping her pinned, lathering the lats and ripping the ribs. Emily countering in spots, but mostly being suppressed by intense, accurate fire from K-Stew. Down the stretch we come, and Stewart investing in the body. Emily landing a nice right hand counter, and there's the bell. Stewart's round and she's built a bit of a cushion."

Tess: "68-66, the first lead of any size for either girl. Still three to go, though, so still anyone's fight."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth round begins with K-Stew again on the offensive, advancing behind the left, driving Browning backward. Emily trying to circle, engaging in a fighting retreat, but Stewart ranging in with both hands, forcing the Aussie backward, despite determined resistance."

McCarthy: "Browning looking a little worse for the wear from that body work last round, and Stewart taking full advantage."

O'Dell: "And she's climbing on once again, forcing Emily back to the ropes and going back downstairs. Kristen really digging to the body again, as Tess said last round, not something we've seen a lot from her in the past, but she's all in downstairs right now."

Cassie: "And it's having an effect. You can see Browning wincing with some of these shots to the ribs and midsection. Emily fighting back in counter, trying to battle off the ropes, but Stewart moving the feet, keeping her pinned."

O'Dell: "Kristen with a hook to the ribs AND DOWN GOES BROWNING! Left hook from Stewart and Emily knocked to her left side along the ropes!"

McCarthy: "Brought the guard down with that body work and BANGED that left hook over the right hand! Right on the chin!"

O'Dell: "Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Browning rolls to her belly. Seven. Eight. She pushes up to her hands and knees...up to one knee at nine...TEN! IT'S OVER! Browning can't beat the count, and your winner by KO8 is 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I've got our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, K-Stew, big win for you tonight..."

Kristen: "You can see why she's a champion, Tess. She's very good. You need a lot of tools to beat her. Fortunately, I have all five..."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Kristen: "There are two girls I want, and my management knows who they are. Whatever order. Here or on pay-per-view or at Ice Station Zebra. I want them. And, that's all I'm going to say."
