Una Healy has booked a fight with Mel B. next month already so it's perhaps surprising she's signed for American upstart Elizabeth Gillies before that but the redhead singer believes she can mount another challenge towards the bantamweight elite and she's not satisifed with fighting scraps. "Liz Gillies has made some headlines since her debut but it's about time her little run of success came to a bloody end!", Una's really fired up for this but Denise van Outen warns her that the American actress is a much dangerous rival than Gabriella Cilmi who Healy decisioned back in spring.

Indeed, the Beever Babes' bantamweight contingent looks to be in safe hands, Azealia Banks knocked out the fearsome Jessica Schwarz just few days ago and before that fight Liz was gearing herself up to face the German actress herself, still, there's every chance for a crossover scenario but for now the young brunette wants to show everyone she can score a victory over a former divisional champion as well. Una's current stake isn't as high as Jessica's but it's still a vast improvement over some of Gillies' previous opponents.

Una Healy wears a bright green bikini top, white boy-leg trunks and green gloves. Liz Gillies wears an all black bikini and red gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Lizzie wants to establish authority early and jabs straight at the face but Una refuses to buckle and throws immediate response, both girls snap each other's head back before circling away and reverting into single hand approach. Liz still looks more committed of the two and sends a couple of low hooks on the body; Una stick to facial target and weaves around the youngster in more lively fashion, tries to split her mitts but to no great avail and jumps back again forcing Gillies into a fruitless chase.

Round 2:
Healy tries to use superior movement into her advantage as an otherwise long-legged American hopes to rely on core strenght and punching power; redhead's tactics prevail in the second round as Gillies' efforts are more committed but just can't properly bother the Irish singer who digs into her experience and performs well from mid-range, ducks underneath the brunette's leather and spikes her ribcage instead, a solid thumping staggers Liz a bit and forces her to dance away in avoidance but Una doesn't rush things and settles into a switch on the head to keep the actress somewhat subdued at the bell.

Round 3:
Still no real breakthrough in this fight, Gillies apparently impressed by the redhead's past glory even though many girls have exposed her immediately after her pregnancy pause. That's not the case anymore as Una digs into the American's guts again but is lucky to escape a belting hook on the temple, her movement proves dominant once again and forces the brunette into more fruitless jabbing, a swift counter on the ribs staggers Liz though and enables Healy to lean on her and fire away in close range, a quick uppercut nails her on the jaw too but the Irish vixen refuses to go all-in and jumps back instead of sending a follow up, prefers to annoy the actress rather than punish her at this stage of the fight.

Round 4:
Elizabeth tries to ignite some pace into her performance and forces Una into more lively footwork, only grazes the flesh and bounces off the guard as Healy ducks to the side and answers with more ribcage assault. She misses the uppercut switch though, gets blocked off and falls into a jabbing response herself, Lizzie manages to close the distance and finally split her mitts making heavy connection with the cheeks. Una's head snaps back but she's able to duck low and escape further punishment, Gillies still very awkward on her feet and struggling to match her pace, sends more overhand leather but skims off the guard and falls into a late clinch instead.

Round 5:
Gillies begins to look really annoyed now, she's failed to land any significant combo on the singer who keeps the punch & weave tactics alive. She targets the American's midsection but switches to the uppercut follow up one time too many and Liz has this covered by now, jumps to the side and unloads a mammoth left hook that finally nails the redhead clean, snaps her head to the side and enables Liz to close right in and bounce off the chest. Healy tries to step back but gets wobbled by another hook on the temples and gasps for air as the brunette traps her in close range and bashes back towards the ropes, shows signs of that impressive punching power, shrugs off a clinching attempt and belts Healy's ribcage to bend her forward and set up another hook on the temple. Una winces in pain and still seeks a clinch, eventually gets saved by the bell as Liz pumps more assault into her guts to underline her dominance.

Round 6:
That was Gillies' best round to date and she's very keen to build upon it, catches Healy in the middle of the ring with more jabbing on the guts and switches to facial assault thereafter, Una loses her footing briefly but that's enough to cause her trouble as she loses the close range exchang with the brunette bashing her face and forcing on the back foot. Flurry of leather from the American now, she gives Una a couple of nasty lumps on both cheeks before belting one on the temple. Healy goes shimmy shake and drops her arms, tries to escape to the right but Liz nails her with a left hook on the nose and sends spinning onto the ropes with a loud groan. Una bounces off and tries to fly one on the head but eats another hook on the nose and bellows out on the spot, Liz in full control tearing into her and pumping miits into the cleavage. Una just soaks up this punishment and is lucky to hear the bell moments later as the brunette threatened to really dump her into a pool of misery within seconds.

Round 7:
Una loses her pacey approach and falls into methodical strikes on the face, Liz very much into her rhythm and establishing control, keeps the Irish girl covered up high but spikes the ribcage to further stagger and her slowly but surely pummel back to he ropes. Healy sends a response on the body but misses all the shots to the head and gets tagged on the temple again, has to yield real estate and endures more head snapping trouble which backs her into the turnbuckle. Gilies works the high intensity and tries to split the mitts again, lands single hand on the cheeks, the ammount of leather just breaks the singer down in the final seconds as Lizzie thumps her into a moaning mess, belts one the navel to come out on top of another round.

Round 8:
Whatever advantage Healy hoped to establish in the early rounds goes south quckly as Gillies just bashes her guard into pieces seconds into the eight and clubs both cheeks with close range uppercuts, flicks one on the temple and just sinks the redhead on her knees, works on the jaw thereafter and just shatters the defence, rocks the singer's head three time before closing her eyes with a precise hook on the temple... UNA TAKES A KNEE... has to accept the count as the ammount of American leather was getting too much for her and a respite was required... she just stares at the canvas and shouts to herself after a while... gets up at eight and that looked intentional as Lizzie shadow boxes in her corner looking unmoved by the singer's tactics... we resume to see Una running away in cover on the ropes; Gillies responds with a cheeky smile and knows she's rocked the Irish ex-champ and is happy to tease her with more high jabs and almost walks her onto the ropes, fails to add further punishment but looks very secure on the cards now according to Denise van Outen.

Round 9:
Elizabeth doesn't rush in at all, contrary to some predictions, is happy to see Una trip over her own feet in avoidance before stalking her with single hand approach. Healy seeks a haymaker turnaround down the stretch and catches the brunette's chest but misses a follow up on the chin and eats one on the brow ridge, Gillies holds back in more punishment again, reverts into peppering her ribcage and flicking a single uppercut on the rack. Una drops her arms in another defensive circle, looks plain tired more than anything else but Liz stands her ground and uses some fine footwork to walk her back against the turnbuckle late on, throws a flurry of jabs on the head to smack Una's cheeks red and lands another uppercut on the jaw to leave the Irish girl shaking her head at the bell.

Round 10:
It's now or never for Healy and she finally jumps into her most aggressive approach since the fifth round, pummels through on the chest and clips the jaw but Liz refuses to buckle and stand her ground, finds more jabbing on the cheeks even and rocks the singer back & forth. Una leans on the brunette though and pierces her mitts with an uppercut combo, both girls lash out at each other and send powerful blows to the temples, Liz screams out in pain as Una winces in response, heavy onslaught from both sides but it's one punch too many for Healy who sags on her knees and can't keep up with the exchange, enables Gillies to nail her twice more on the nose AND TUMBLES TO THE CANVAS FLAT ON HER BACK... Liz looks exhausted and swollen in places after that ferocious exchange but she's broken Una's spirit even though the roughed up singer gets up at eight and nods back to the referee, her eyes are glowing with tears and quite frankly she looks spooked as the American rips into her guts again and pummels back to the ropes late, Gillies wants to blow the doors off the Irish girl in the dying seconds but fails to knock her out and only leaves shrieking in pain with eyes closed at the bell.

Liz thinks she's won it and celebrates with both arms raised in the air while Una just sags over the ropes and looks utterly spend after a gruesome but lacklustre contest on her side...

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... judges score the bout 98-92, 99-92 and 98-92 all for your winner through unanimous decision.. ELIZABETH GILLIES!!!

AFTER: No surprise over the verdict and Una's the first one to accept it. She refuses to shake hands with the American though and storms back to her corner where Mollie King offers her words of consolation. But Lizzie just sends the Saturdays duo a cheeky smile and blows them a kiss before turning her attention to Denise van Outen: "I could have finished the Irish tart much sooner but I took my time in this fight. I realized that many people believe in me but I don't want to be regarded as another bimbo puncher who's gonna wear herself out one day and look silly. I needed to go the full distance to see what I've got and I feel so damn fine right now! I can go out there and do another ten rounds! (...) There's no rivalry between Azealia Banks and me! Honest! I'm doing my thing and there are no orders for me to fight only TV girls. I can punch the whole music industry away if that's what I'm told to do!"

Final result: Elizabeth Gillies def. Una Healy UD10.
