It's been a year since Alexandra Burke was last seen in the BBU ring and her career has fallen on the rocks long before that, the former X Factor winner managed to win just once in the last three and a half years but she's always up for accepting a newcomer to the series, she was stopped by Mandy Capristo on the German's debut last September and now tackles another international member of the music industry, Inna.
Despite getting stopped by Mollie King on her debut the Romanian raven-haired bombshell enjoyed a solid start to her career when she pummelled Jeanette Biedermann around the Barnet area the next month and she's back in London again - this time in the Wembley Arena - trying to send the home girl Burke spawling on the canvas!
Alexandra Burke wears an all red bikini and black gloves. Inna wears a black bikini with sliver trim and red gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Alex is really keen to resurrect her career and thumps Inna's body well inside the opening minute, tries to hurt the Romanian's ribcage and slips several piercing hooks on target but gets shoved to the side when Inna clinches her and wrestles away in fury. A quick overhand whacks Burke on the chin but she lets one go on the eye as well and snaps Inna's head back as the crowd errupts in early joy. Inna moves into some quick footwork to shrug the big punch off and Alex chases her down and engages in a furious exchange in the final minute with Inna pumping her mitts while sitting on the ropes and she beats Burke for sheer ammount of punches thrown, spikes her on the mouth and walks away from the ropes with Alex just unable to make the most of her seemingly superior position.
Round 2:
Burke seeks more success and squares up to the older singer but the speedy slugging proves to be a bad idea as Inna wrenches her on the navel before pumping uppercuts on the jaw and wobbling the Londoner back. Alex tries to land some overhands but bounces off the guard and falls into a countering hook on the eye that drops her arms and wobbles back onto the ropes. Inna comes down on her like a vulture and slams jabs on the ribcage as Burke covers up high, yet gets pinned onto the ropes with the Romanian showing no signs of fatigue in methodical destruction of the vulnerable area. Alex sags on her knees at the bell, looks shocked by the rough treatment and has to think of a Plan B already if she's to really punish her foe tonight.
Round 3:
Inna slips into more ribcage assault, fends off a weak overhand approach as Burke misses badly with her strikes and feels the midsection heat inside the opening minute; Inna just relentless in the ribcage assault, backs a cumbersome Londoner into the ropes and switches into uppercuts on the chin that slice the guard and snaps Alexandra's head back. Burying the English girl under overwhelming ammount of punches does the trick as Alex just can't find a response and bellows out into covering up and soaking up all the pressure. Inna drops the ribcage assault and goes all high in the final minute, snaps the head back repeatedly and leaves a couple of nasty lumps on Burke's cheeks as the bell halts her charge and has the younger singer gasping for air and shaking her head.
Round 4:
Alex just can't take a punch as she gets stunned by a vicious left hook on the nose and screams out in pain. The Beevers crew anticipated another ribcage assault but the Romanian sticks her mitts into the swollen cheeks and sways Burke's head side to side before landing one uppercut on the chin too many just after the minute mark... ALEX HITS THE CANVAS HARD on her backside and just stares at Inna's shins while battling the tears flowing into her eyes... The count reaches eight before she's up but looks shaken by that knockdown and Inna just rips into her chest and pummels back onto the ropes within seconds... piercing jabs on the ribcage sink the English girl down on her knees and she jumps into a clinch just as Inna finds another uppercut on the chin and whips her back against the ropes... she waits one moment too long for the finishing punch though and skims off the forehead as Burke clatters into her chest with both hands... not that Alex knew much about it but she locks the clinch and almost drags the Romanian to the ground in a desperate effort to survive the round.
Round 5:
Inna looks furious about letting Alex off the hook and slams immediate leather on the face to start the fifth. Burke's footwork is nowhere near to save her from a close range dust up and the older singer uses her jaw as a punching target, slices the terrible guard with both hands and snaps the head back to give the Londoner a proper vertigo before a left hand on the eye tears the brow ridge into blood... ALEX JACK KNIFES TO THE FLOOR and collapses face-first moments after that haymaker and despite the count starting late - last-ditch effort to spare the local crowd a disastrous outcome - there's just nothing Alex can do about all the dizzinness inside her head.. she tries to push herself off both elbows but wobbles straight back on her face and is lucky not to fracture her nose... the count passes her by as she mumbles into KO daze... your winner in ultra destructive style - Inna!!!
AFTER: That's not what the crowd wanted but the Romanian lass is all over the ring in joy, a muted ovation doesn't throw her off her stance and she even hugs and kisses the referee on the lips! She only takes a glance at the fallen Burke and bursts out laughing, there's no place for naughty antics since the Beevers' entourage is quick to lift a semi-conscious Alex from the canvas but Inna is still in a world of her own, pushes the twerking button into overdrive and the local DJ was sane enough to pepare a dance tune from our winner and the BBU TV coverage concludes with Inna's "Hot" pumping everywhere around the Wembley Arena.
Final result: Inna def. Alexandra Burke KO5.
