Kym Marsh returns to BBU action after a fine stoppage of youngster Brooke Vincent but the demons of stablemate Helen Flanagan stopping her jugs still haunt the Coronation Street raven-haired stalwart's memory. She vows to simply dissect Kelly Reilly's guts tonight based on the fact the Girls Friday redhead has endured a lacklustre career thus far losing all her four bouts to date and most of the audience in the Wembley Arena think likewise!
Kelly Reilly wears a light green bikini top, matching hot pants and yellow gloves. Kym Marsh wears a red bikini top. small black hip-huggers and red gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Kym jabs at the body and tries to pierce Kelly's ribcage early but the redhead responds with some aggressive approach - a rare sight considering her record - and snaps the brunette's head back, flicks a couple of straight jabs at the nose before clipping the jaw to send Marsh spinning back to the ropes. Kym jumps straight back at her though and nails on the nose herself as both women start to hammer away at each others' heads and Kelly's carrot locks fly around more frequently but Marsh just can't punish her enough to secure a clear upper hand.
Round 2:
Reilly closes right up and uppercuts the brunette's rack as Kym swings wide off the mark and allows the fellow actress to enjoy pumping more leather on target. Looks like the redhead was watching some Helen Flanagan tapes judging by the way she tries to punch Marsh's boobs flat and she forces the Corrie girl into quick retreat. The response is weak and skims off the pale forearms and Kelly still nails her foe on the nose to wobble her to the side. More from the redhead afterwards; she just thumps Kym's cheeks and slices her arms aside; piercing jabs punish the brunette's face well in the final minute and make Marsh yelp in pain. The raven-haired actress just can't match the redhead's feorcity and sags on the ropes late on as Reilly works the left hand on the jugs and has Marsh spitting out her mouthpiece in visible discomfort.
Round 3:
Marsh bursts out of her stool trying to get something going here and lands a couple of hooks on the cheeks but Reilly refuses to buckle like she did so often in the past and responds by mauling Kym's rack again. A hectic close range punchfest results in Marsh increasing the noise volume as Reilly digs her mitts really deep in the enhanced cleavage and forces the Corrie actress to seek a clinch down the stratch as her single hand facial grazing makes no impression on the redhead at all. The clinch is locked at first but shortlived anyway as Kelly barks in anger and slams a series on the brunette's ribcage to loosen the grip and then find a crunching uppercut on the jaw... Marsh spins onto the ropes and is helluva lucky not to go down in a heap as Kelly leaps after her and still clubs the left eye to make Kym scream her loudest yet... bell saves the Corrie barmaid from complete disaster but a harder punching opponent than Reilly would have knocked her down for granted already!
Round 4:
Kym looks really affected by that late flurry from the redhead and is much slower on her feet early in the fourth. She falls into more midriff punishment as Reilly simply pierces her ribcage to stagger her in the middle of the ring again. A swift series of uppercuts on the rack add more insult to injury and make Marsh wince in pain one more time; the chest assault increases in feorcity down the stretch and Kelly's settled in this tactics shockingly well to wobble a hapless brunette forward before a left hook nails her on the jaw to close the eyes and go all shimmy shake and barely upright. Kym rolls down the curtains with her arms but has no time to protect the exposed chin and the redhead blasts a clean right hook spot on TO SEND THE BRUNETTE CRASHING DOWN on her backside. She beats the count at seven but still looks all wobbly butt thereafter and Reilly punches her back to the ropes where she slams more jabs on the face and leaves Kym sagging with eyes closed at the bell but if only she could find more power behind her shots, Marsh would be most likely whimpering her submission already.
Round 5:
Kelly looks for more damage and pierces her opponent's guard with relative ease again, the proud Corrie brunette soaks up another jabbing series on the cheeks which are quite swollen now and can't stop moaning her heart out that only fuels the redhead's desire to knock her silly. Heavy jabs drop Kym's arms low and Kelly just thumps her against the turnbuckle on the minute mark before another series on the cleavege closes her eyes and leaves trembling in disarray. A couple of hooks pierce the left eye into a swollen mess and a follow up from the right finds the temple to SEND MARSH DOWN ON HER KNEES in the corner... Reilly leaps in the air and thinks she's got it now but despite the raven-haired actress being more or less reduced to a sobbing wreck the fight is not over... Marsh is up at eight with a huge swelling blurring her vision in the left eye however she nods back to the ref and wants to continue... Kelly is shocked by this lifeline thrown to her rival and has to tear into Kym one more time, the Corrie girl just sagging on the ropes in extremely poor shape as her chin endures a left/right combo and another hook on the nose whips her against the turnbuckle before the bell comes to the rescue and spares the battered brunette from imminient departure.
Round 6:
Many people in the Wembley Arena expected Marsh to quit on her stool but she rises for another round only to see Reilly whacking her on the swollen cheeks with no resistance present. Kym's head loops around back & forth and she doesn't even throw any punches now as Kelly bats away at her face before switching low on the rack one more time to finally make Marsh gurgle her departure.. a solid hook on the red bikini top renders the Corrie actress numb and SENDS HER CRASHING DOWN ON THE KNEES... this time it's a slo-mo action that follows as Marsh tumbles flat on her face and moans her last volumes.. she rolls onto her back as the count reaches seven but only hides her head in the gloves and bursts into spasms thereafter... KO6 Kelly Reilly!!!
AFTER: It's a huge upset as the shapely redhead scores her maiden BBU victory totally against the odds. She beat the vastly experienced Kym Marsh fair & square, quite frankly that was a blow out at the expense of the Coronation Street actress. Kelly can't quite believe it at first but once the fallen brunette is lifted off the canvas and trying to slump her way onto the Kats' corner, she's there to grab her from behind and salute the crowd with a Walk of Shame as Kym just checks her swollen eye and doesn't contest the redhead ragdolling her to the canvas after a couple of circuits around the Wembley Arena. Kym lands on all fours and sticks out her butt for Reilly to deliver a soccer kick and send her collapsing flat on her face again with arms spread to each side and eyes closed! Will this victory turn the redhead into a late BBU bloomer? We'll have to wait and see!
