DISNEY & NICKELODEON CHALLENGE BOUTS PART THREE

Both of these girls have been knocked out by Jennette McCurdy, Ariana in 9 rounds, Dove in 6. Since then Ariana has beaten Daniella Monet in 7 rounds, also by knockout, and she must be feeling more confident.

The 21 year old Ariana is wearing a pink one piece outfit tonight, with matching gloves and boots, with 18 year old Dove in tight white top, pale blue microskirt, with pale blue gloves and boots.

Round 1

These girls look a little hesitant tonight, and this is a slow start to the fight, until at last Ariana makes a move, snapping her jab out at Dove’s face, but Dove defends that easily, stands back, welcomes Ariana’s next attack, and she throws a pair of left hooks, and she’s catching Ariana with those, the redhead covering herself as Dove lands a couple of good head punches, forcing Ariana into defence against the ropes, and with Dove looking the more aggressive the opening round goes her way.

Round 2

Dove’s got a real lift from her opening round performance, and she starts the round well, landing a nice left cross on Ariana’s jaw, but Ariana’s taken that shot well, didn’t seem troubled by Dove’s punching power, and she hits back, lands a straight right to Dove’s mouth, and now she starts to work the teen to the body, Dove gasping, and clearly suffering a little, and she takes a buffeting as she backs into the ropes, lacking the experience to hold instead of fight, Ariana getting g past her defensive gloves to land on her face with too much ease.

Round 3

After a promising second round, when the girls began to open up, they’ve both gone back into their shells, Dove not offering much in the way of aggression at all here, with Ariana managing to cuff Dove a few times, but she doesn’t seem to be hurting her at all with those punches, and in response Dove attacks Ariana, wants to get her gloves in on the redhead’s face, doing better in the closing seconds, but Ariana successfully blocks her, and she ends the round by clipping Dove’s lips with a sharp left hook.

Round 4

Now the girls seem to have forgotten their defences, and an early exchange takes place, Ariana hitting Dove to the jaw, right and left, but Dove fights back well, getting a right hook over the top of Ariana’s guard, and she prods her left into the older girl’s body, Dove hurting Ariana with that punch, and it’s Ariana who drops back, and she eats a series of punches to her face, but she clinches, and now she holds and spoils, but the referee won’t let her wrestle Dove, who is effectively bossing her, and Ariana’s not able to find an answer at this stage, Dove winning this round very easily.

Round 5

Dove wants action, but Ariana slows things down again, staying in close to the teenager, clinching where she can, and she just doesn’t give Dove room to hit her with any real venom in these exchanges, the referee being kept busy. Dove’s the more aggressive boxer, but Ariana’s still in this fight, just by spoiling Dove’s attempts to hit her, and she frustrates Dove to the point that the kid’s trying too much, desperate to land a big punch, and taking punishment herself, on top, but looking weary.

Round 6

It’s Dove on the attack from the start, and she pops some good punches on Ariana, her left cross batting into Ariana’s mouth, her right hook following up, but Ariana clinches again, the referee parting the pair, Ariana spotting an opportunity from the break to land a smart right to Dove’s jaw, the kid staggered a little, and Ariana hurts her with a couple of bodyshots - Dove recoils, and now the girl gets tagged with a left hook, and she’s down! Dove gets to her feet at 6, but she’s not trading any sort of punch now, with Ariana suddenly on top form, and she rolls Dove back into a corner, and now she’s beating Dove’s body heavily, again the teenager lacking the ringcraft to free herself as the fight starts to drift away from her.

Round 7

Ariana seems fresh after flooring Dove, but Dove looks exhausted, and takes more punishment to her body, the girl squealing in pain, tears welling up in her eyes, and it looks like Ariana’s decided she’s softened the kid up enough, because she gives her a left cross, right hook, left hook, and that’s knocked Dove down again – and this time Dove doesn't get back up.

Result: Ariana Grande knocked out Dove Cameron in round 7.

Ariana looks well pleased with her efforts tonight, smiling broadly as she accepts the fightfans ovations, while Dove seems deflated, surely feeling like a girl who has been mugged after that fight.
