BEFORE:

"I'm coming in here for one reason," says Eliza with a gorgeous smile. "To prove who the 'Next Big Thing' really is. I'll give you a hint. She speaks with an Aussie accent."

"Oh, I remember my first time at Asylum", Chloe says with a shake of the head. "First time in front of the home crowd and I fought like it. Well, not this time. This time, I can't WAIT to get out there. And I wouldn't want to be the girl in my way."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'What's My Age Again?' by Blink 182, and here comes one of that band's biggest fans, the lovely Eliza Taylor!"

Cassie: "Taylor had her first FCBA fight in March. She's had two more since. And she hasn't LOST yet."

McCarthy: "Wait...are you SURE about that? Weirdo books fighters with no WINS, not fighters with no losses..."

O'Dell: "Taylor into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a red number that gets the crowd buzzing...and now they're buzzing LOUDER, because that's 'Uh Oh' you hear pounding through the arena and here comes the singer of that song, 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

Tess: "For those who don't know, Chloe had a successful career as an international pop singer before turning to acting..."

McCarthy: "As a singer, she makes a good actress..."

Cassie: "For the fans at home who haven't had the pleasure of hearing Mac 'sing', there are several YouTube posts of her efforts at a previous Asylum...as part of demonstrations on how to make DOGS HOWL..."

McCarthy: "Shut it, Scabbo! I happen to have a LOVELY singing voice..."

Tess: "Where was it THAT night?"

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up boys, and drink in the scene in the ring as Chloe Bennet is helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal a blue number and a body the crowd appreciates..."

McCarthy: "Again, the standards in this city are clearly LOW..."

O'Dell: "The ladies are about ready, so let's get some picks. Tess favors Bennet. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Weirdo made a mistake bringing in a girl with actual TALENT to fight one of his overrated non-prospects. Taylor wins EASY."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess."

O'Dell: "We have a split panel. Let's see who's right. Off the bell it's the blonde forward. Eliza in a crouch, bobbing the head, jabbing with the left hand to locate, then going body. Bennet not going to give ground, banging right back. Chloe more than willing to stand in there and slug if that's what Taylor wants to do."

Cassie: "Eliza likes to work out of that chin-tucked crouch. Bobs that head. Makes her hard to find. Bennet, though, not bothering to find the head. She's all about hooking body."

O'Dell: "That she is, and we're seeing two very similar styles here. Taylor likes to work in close, and Chloe, with those sturdy legs and heavy hands, doesn't mind it either."

Tess: "Bennet in only her sixth fight, but she's shown other styles, too. She's very limber. Moves well. Can bounce and circle. But, we're seeing absolutely none of that at the moment."

O'Dell: "We are not. What we ARE seeing is gauntlets being thrown down. Both girls want to come forward and neither wants to back up, and the result is some heavy exchanges of leather in there. Both girls scoring well and both landing clean shot, but it's Bennet's body work that's going to play as the bell sounds. First round to Chloe."

McCarthy: "That 10-9 lead isn't going to mean anything if Bennet stays in there. Taylor can hit. She has two KOs in three fights. She'll take Bennet out."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round begins with more blonde aggression. Taylor bobbing forward in that crouch and Bennet right there to meet her and here we go. Both girls getting off heavy right away, neither going to give any ground without a fight and the leather is thumping home as a result."

McCarthy: "More body work from Taylor this round and more work upstairs from Bennet."

O'Dell: "No question of that. Both girls pretty balanced in their efforts in this frame and the result is some good shots to the head that both women are absorbing with no apparent ill effect and plenty of leather SMACKING into flesh..."

Tess: "You can HEAR some of those shots, so the fighters can definitely FEEL them..."

O'Dell: "But, again, both girls shipping the punishment and neither willing to make any concessions as a result. Instead they bang away at one another, good, accurate fire from both blonde and brunette. Bennet again getting the better of things, getting more leather home, but Taylor having her moments as well as both continue to score right to the bell."

Tess: "Chloe now up 20-18 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins just like the first two, Taylor forward, Bennet holding ground and the battle joined. Taylor a bit lower in that crouch now, trying to protect some of the body Chloe was taking in the first two rounds. Bennet responding by working more upstairs."

McCarthy: "On the other side, the level change giving Taylor a chance to work more hooks and uppies, and that's exactly what she's doing."

O'Dell: "Absolutely, and we've talked about level changes before and how they can affect terms and you're seeing some of that now. It's not a radical change, but it does make the geometry a bit different and it's evening things up a bit for Taylor."

Cassie: "Eliza working even more body this round, going hooks to the ribs and lats. Chloe taller anyway, so the deeper crouch giving her angle issues."

O'Dell: "Bennet clearly passed geometry in school, though, because the angles are slowing her down some, but not stopping her. The brunette getting work done, just as she did in the first two frames, but the blonde battling her punch for punch now as the final seconds tick off and there's the bell. Close. But Eliza's on the board."

Tess: "Avoiding that dangerous oh-for-three to start the fight and halving Chloe's lead. 29-28 after three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "That deeper crouch of Taylor's in full effect here in the fourth. Bennet working to get the proper angles and distrance for downward punches, which can be plenty dangerous if you can't get them home."

Cassie: "Sure can, and Bennet's landing some right now. Taylor, on the other hand, getting plenty of her own work done with the hooks and uppies, especially to the body."

O'Dell: "Bennet doing more head work right now, with Taylor's body a little harder to find and THERE'S A LEFT UPPERCUT AND BENNET IS STAGGERED! Chloe wobbled and Taylor firing away and DOWN GOES BENNET!"

McCarthy: "Two good punches in that flurry, and it was a straight right that did the trick!"

O'Dell: "Bennet dropped flat to her back. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Chloe rolls over, pushes up to hands and knees. Seven. Eight. And Bennet beats the count. Referee going to give her the mandatory and he's going to let this continue. On comes Taylor and she's going all in on this thing..."

McCarthy: "LOVE this kid's aggression! Love it!"

O'Dell: "Bennet backed into the ropes and Taylor firing away. Eliza digging some body to bring the high guard down, working uppercuts to the head. Bennet covering up, jabbing back a bit, keeping the ref from stopping it, but Taylor romping right the finish. There's the bell and a BIG round for Eliza Taylor!"

Tess: "And the blonde takes the lead 38-37 with that 10-8 round."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth underway and Eliza Taylor now going in for the kill. She's quickly all over Bennet and Chloe clearly still buzzed is giving ground, backing into the ropes to cover up as Taylor begins firing away with both hands. Bennet tying up, trying to slow the blonde down and ELIZA WOBBLES HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Taylor's got Bennet in trouble..."

Cassie: "That was a good punch, but this is cumulative damage, I think. Not enough there to bend the knees if Bennet's legs hadn't already been wobbly."

O'Dell: "And Taylor looking to pile on the hurt, she's hammering away at the midsection and the ribs as Bennet keeps the guard high. Chloe trying to counter, and Eliza taking advantage of the space on those to land solid shot to the head. Bennet not going to be suppressed completely, though, she's firing back, trying to get some space."

McCarthy: "Taylor doesn't want to give her any, though. Eliza keeping the pressure on. Looking to find the finisher."

O'Dell: "Indeed she is, and she's throwing everything but the proverbial kitchen sink at the brunette. Bennet shipping it all and
staying on her feet, firing back in spots. Taylor not slowing down, upping the ante in fact, swinging away right to the bell and there it is. Another big round for Taylor."

Tess: "And she's now up 48-46 at the halfway point."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "We begin the sixth with more forward aggression from Taylor. Eliza in that chin-tucked crouch boring forward and Bennet there to meet her again now. Chloe seemingly getting the legs back, able to hold ground and bang back."

McCarthy: "If I were in Bennet's corner, I might tell her not to stand in front of Taylor. Hasn't worked out well so far."

O'Dell: "Doesn't look like that's going to be Chloe's strategy, though. She's not giving canvas. Instead she's holding Taylor up, responding to the uppercuts and hooks with jabs, hooks, and crosses of her own. It's grim, digging, back and forth stuff, both women concentrating upstairs, but not ignoring the body."

Tess: "Bennet getting very physical now, shoving Taylor back with her forearms to get a little space for her longer arms."

Cassie: "Chloe's a very physical bantam. She's full size. Walks around about 122 or so. She's got size and strength, and she's using it."

O'Dell: "Taylor, however, staying in her face, not going to cede any canvas. The Aussie tough as nails in there, ripping body in response to Bennet's work on her flanks. Final seconds ticking off and there's the bell. Good, close round. Chloe's."

Tess: "57-56 Taylor after six."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "We move into the seventh and these two rugged young bantams are right back at one another. Taylor's gear box doesn't have a reverse. She's all forward once again in that crouch. Bennet standing her ground and bringing Eliza's advance to a standstill once again."

Cassie: "Just a lot of leather being traded right now, Jenny. Both girls have solid defenses in place, but both are banging around and through them."

O'Dell: "That they are. Both bodies being tenderized again this round, as the ladies begin to concentrate downstairs. Good left hook from Taylor and a BIG RIGHT HAND, BENNET! Taylor is gobsmacked! Eliza stumbling backward and now it's Bennet going all in."

Tess: "Taylor stepping in the proverbial fence post holes!"

O'Dell: "And she's stepping in reverse as Bennet pours forward, banging away at the blonde, driving her back into the ropes and having at it. Taylor in a high guard, covering up, leaning back into the ropes, rolling the head and shoulders, jabbing back a little, but clearly on the defensive. Bennet hammering away, really getting everything on these punches, but now it's Taylor shipping the shell and staying on her feet and there's the bell! Big round, Bennet, but Taylor survives to fight another day."

McCarthy: "66 all after seven. Anybody's fight."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth underway and Taylor forward AGAIN...."

McCarthy: "I LOVE this kid. Have I mentioned that?"

O'Dell: "Eliza got the legs back, and she's right back at Bennet, and Chloe right there to meet her in the middle of the ring, and the grinding is underway once again."

Cassie: "I'm going to say this straight out. There are a lot of girls in this division that couldn't take the kind of leather these two are dishing out for seven plus rounds. A lot."

O'Dell: "But, none of those girls are in the ring right now. Instead, we've got Aussie Eliza Taylor digging body, working her way upstairs, then back down and 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet giving back every bit as much leather as she's shipping. Both girls still trying to grab control of this fight, and neither willing to cede it."

Tess: "The body work alone is painful to watch. And HEAR."

O'Dell: "And you CAN hear it. And see it. And you can also see the heavy leather landing upstairs, and there's plenty of that. But, as we come down the stretch, still neither fighter retreating. Neither willing to take a step back. There's a final good exchange and the bell. Good round. Taylor's body work is going to play, though."

McCarthy: "And the blonde's back in front 76-75 with two left."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth starts just like all the rest. Here comes Taylor forward, and Bennet responding the way she has throughout, standing her ground, stopping the blonde's advance, and beginning the brutal battle of attrition all over again."

McCarthy: "Might see a change in tactics if Eliza gets this one, though. Then it would be time to let that last round out. But, I'm not sure this kid is built that way."

O'Dell: "Taylor digging that body right now, hooks to flanks while Bennet's bodying up again, shoving off, looking for space. Lots of physicality going on right now. Good left hook Bennet. Backed Eliza up a step. Good right hand from Chloe. Left hook and another right and DOWN GOES TAYLOR!"

Cassie: "That right did some damage, but the left hook started the ship listing!"

O'Dell: "Taylor on her hands and knees as the referee picks up the count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eliza pushing up to her feet and standing at eight. She'll take the mandatory and the referee waives Chloe forward. Bennet now boring forward behind her left jab, popping it, banging back Taylor's head, looking for spots to throw a big right. Eliza giving ground, sliding off to her right, trying to stay off the ropes while Chloe looks to pin her there. Bennet calm, stalking, looking for her openings, not going all in. She's landing mostly lefts. Holding that right back. Patient."

McCarthy: "Maybe too patient. She needs to get busy trying to get Taylor out of there."

O'Dell: "Eliza keeping the guard up, countering when she can. Engaging in a fighting retreat. Running some clock successfully. Bennet scoring, backing Taylor up, but not finding the big punch she's looking for. Final seconds tick off and there's the bell. Taylor survives, but Bennet has the lead."

Tess: "85-84 for Chloe with one to go."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "We head into the final round and it's anyone's fight. And, to no one's surprise, Taylor is forward again and Bennet's right there in the middle of the ring to join the battle again."

McCarthy: "And Taylor even MORE aggressive now. Letting both hands go. Has to have been told she needs this round by her corner..."

Tess: "And Bennet just as aggressive, because she's certainly been told the same thing."

O'Dell: "And the result is some absolutely BLISTERING exchanges of leather. Both women started busy and now going all in, putting it all into these punches, not leaving anything in the tanks or the magazines, just emptying everything, lobbing every last shell. Crowd roaring as the flurries get longer and more violent, neither fighter going to back up a step!"

Cassie: "On their feet now as we're down under a minute! It's absolute CARNAGE in there, Jenny! One big shot after another landing!"

O'Dell: "AND DOWN GOES TAYLOR! DOWN GOES TAYLOR! Bennet landed an overhand right and Eliza down face first to the mat!"

Cassie: "That was a CRUSHING right hand. Right on the button. Didn't knock her TO the canvas as much as DROVE her into it!"

O'Dell: "Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Taylor not moving. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's over! A brutal, back and forth slugfest for 29 minutes and 28 seconds ends with 32 seconds to go, and your winner by KO10 is 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Chloe Bennet, and, Chloe, nothing was easy in there tonight..."

Chloe: "Nothing at all. Had to earn everything I got against her. She's tough. She's smart. She has a kind of a funky style. And she hits hard. You've got to put it on the line against her. You have to stand in there and take to give, and that's what I did. Because I knew that, sooner or later, one of us would give out. And I knew it wasn't going to be me."

Tess: "What's next for Chloe Bennet?"

Chloe(laughing): "After a nice soak in the tub? We'll see what the boss has in mind."
