SELENA GOMEZ VS JOJO LEVESQUE
(Words: Vassago / Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE: "I'm a complete fighter now! Just look at my results lately!", a very confident Selena Gomez tells old buddy Tess Valmore before tonight's clash against JoJo Levesque. "No offence but JoJo - what exactly a name is that anyway - is just a journeywoman seeking exposure at any cost. But that suits me just fine, I'll be so ready to wipe the smile off Ashley Benson's face once I knock JoJo out!"

However the fellow singer turned actress JoJo seeks respect rather than cheap exposure and plans to derail Selena's cheerful attitude: "I'm more than just a journeywoman fighter! Selena's brain power has to be questioned in first place ever since she dates that Bieber creature! What a tramp! I know this is a rare chance for me to prove I belong in this business and I'm not gonna waste it only because Selena says that I should!"

Selena Gomez wears a turquoise bikini top, white hip-huggers and white boots. Black hair tied in a familiar ponytail. JoJo wears a red bandeau bikini top, black hip-huggers and black boots. Light brown hair in loose waves tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Selena's much quicker of the two early showing ring fitness and confidence and easily outworks the rusty JoJo in close range exchange and clips her jaw more often than not causing the older brunette to seek respite in the middle of the ring. Selena's work rate alone gives her the edge as JoJo spends most of the round just covering up and avoiding an all-out attack, gets pushed dangerously close to the ropes and it's only because Gomez lacks that Miley Cyrus-like killer attitude she's unable to punish the lacklustre opponent. She looks good on the cards but Levesque hasn't even been scratched!

Round 2:
Selena closes right in and ups the onslaught at the hitherto mediocre opponent but suddenly gets clipped by JoJo's first meaningful attack of the whole bout, the older brunette swings at the temples and rocks Selena's head enforcing an immediate response as Gomez leans on her and trades vicious leather to the body, JoJo digs right well on target and makes Gomez moan but misses a key put away on the chin and has to soak up more ribcage assault herself. JoJo clinches the pacey Latin girl and shoves her back before the ref can step in between them and that clearly catches Selena off her stance as she eats a left hook on the eye and staggers back at the ropes with Levesque charging in and pumping leather at the turquoise top. It's Selena's time to clinch in the dying seconds of the round as JoJo barks in her ear and refuses to let go despite referee trying to drag her away as the clock expires.

Round 3:
JoJo finally shows some feisty attitude but another leather trade-off ends in disaster when Selena nails her with a couple of jabs on the nose and wobbles to the side. Instead of circling back Levesque tries to jump in at the Latin chick and gets caught again when Gomez just beats her for an overhand right on the temple. JoJo shrieks out in discomfort and falls into a flurry of punches that send her against the turnbuckle as Selena ups her onslaught and catches JoJo on the boobs in the middle of a frantic jabbing galore. Ugh! JOJO IS DOWN... the girl's just not used to getting punched in the jugs like that and crashes to her knees hugging her red bandeau top with a painful look in her eyes. Gomez is no JMD powerhouse but she's no stranger to the genre either and she can't stop smiling as ref gives Levesque an eight count before letting her continue. JoJo's eyes are filled with wrath but she's up against it as Gomez traps her in the corner and pounds away at the body to run away with the round easily. Levesque's guard holds in tact but the new found feisty attitude is nowhere near enough to stop Selena these days anymore; she learned this the hard way and it's not over!

Round 4:
Gomez thinks she's broken Levesque's resilience with that knockdown but suddenly earns herself a wake-up call as she gets caught with a quick overhand on the eye; JoJo's found her breath and rhythm again and leans on the younger brunette, digs into her bikini top and tries some jug mauling before Selena responds around the elbows and punishes the ribs to reel the feisty singer backwards. After a brief staredown they go at each other again and this time JoJo's just a fraction quicker again and clips Selena's jaw but misses a put away hook on the temples and gets clinched instead. Gomez drives her back to the ropes showing some strength but gets spiked on the ribs and moans in anger; has to let go off the stubborn opponent who just refuses to panic and soaks up a late hook on the jaw that sinks her on the knees and ensures JoJo comes out on top of this round.

Round 5:
JoJo thinks she can get even with her opponent and seeks a quick knockdown but it's easier said than done as a close range brawl goes in favor of the Latin girl who whoops a jabbing series on the chest and spikes the ribcage to sink Levesque down on her knees... another series up high slices the mitts and mauls her cheeks as JoJo suddenly gets trapped in a dangerous spot and loses her footing in a desperate effort to jump away to safety... GOMEZ FINDS A HOOK ON THE TEMPLE and wobbles the fellow singer against the turnbuckle and JoJo just wants to escape now... she ducks to the right and gets it wrong... Selena comes flying in with a huge right hand on the nose that makes JoJo scream in pain as suddenly there's blood pouring from her nostrils... another left hand catches her on the jaw with the guard nowhere to be seen... LEVESQUE GOES DOWN... she collapses on her side with a loud whimper and eyes closed... that was a textbook combo from Gomez who quickly struts back to the neutral corner and nods back to the crowd... JoJo sits up at five but senses the blood flowing onto her lips and pounds the canvas in frustration as she can't shrug off the fact Gomez cut her up like that. She shrugs her head as ref counts her out and it's a KO5 Selena Gomez!!!

AFTER: Selena completes a memorable year with a fine knockout of a feisty opponent that showed glimpses of potential but not enough sheer punching resistance. A busted up nose is not the end of the world and JoJo needs to learn that if she wants more exposure in the future. That's not the problem for Selena though who smiles back to the crowd and by the looks of things wants to contact her boyfriend on the phone already. "Justin was so proud of me!", she tells Tess Valmore afterwards, "We're gonna really celebrate the New Year now! (laughs) But now that I roughed up JoJo's nose I plan to give those Pretty Little Punchers a really hard time in 2015. I got Sasha Pieterse on my record already and they've got one or two cocky blondes too many out there! Yes, Ashley Benson, I still think you're a piece of trash like you were on the set of Spring Breakers! And I don't need Nessa's guidance anymore! I'm gonna take out the trash whenever you're ready! Boo Hoo!"
