Missy Peregrym versus Maria Menounos
(Words and Results by Lookout!)

Before: This is a rematch between the two and the last time these two competed, it was for the lightweight title. This time, there's no title on the line, although plenty of pride, bragging rights and of course, title opportunities in the highly competitive lightweight division are on the line. This fact is not lost on either of them as they speak to the press prior to the bout.

“Let's face facts – I was champ and Missy came in to take it away from me. I have a chance here to move right to the top again, over Missy's unconscious body and guess what? I'm going to take it! There isn't anybody who is going to stop me, least of all Peregrym here. I'm going to make this girl quit and then everybody is going to see what she's made of! She isn't a champion or a contender – she's a quitter! You'll see by the end of the night!” Maria states emphatically, pounding a fist on the podium.

Missy Peregrym rolling her eyes with a smile, “The only thing I'm going to quit doing is taking Maria seriously if she's going to talk like that! I'm one of the best lightweights in the division and everybody knows it. Don't believe me? Ask my fellow stablemate and champion, Vonnie, why she won't face me! I beat Kelly Brook, who has beaten her for the title and Kaley freaking Cuoco this year and yet, not in the title picture?” Missy shrugs with a grin, “Guess we'll have to clear the picture up for her, won't we?”

Missy wearing a royal blue sports bra, with matching shorts and gloves – hair in a fighting ponytail; Maria wearing a bright yellow sports bra, with matching gloves and shorts – hair in a tight ponytail of her own.

R1: Maria coming forward fast and hard from the start, just jabbing Missy backwards into the ropes to try to poke her into compliance. Maria coming overhand with hard right hands up top and her left seeking ribcage like a torso-seeking missile, just pounding away at her abs with a confident grin. Peregrym going to try to jab Maria backwards, sending out left and right shots to tag her up top, but Menounos bobbing and weaving her way inside as she pushes past the jab, just forcing her foe backwards against the ropes. Missy keeps on trying, however, just finally connecting with a hard jab up top to get a little leverage to escape the ropes as the two brawny brunettes engage in a crowd-pleasing back and forth, with shots coming up from the hips to slam against one another in a fierce exchange. By the third, however, Maria has managed to get on top again, just getting Peregrym back against the ropes and although she's unable to find her opponent's chin, that doesn't stop her from hacking away downstairs to wail on Peregrym's proud abs to win the first.

R2: Maria comes forward, eyes filled with determination, eager to keep her momentum continuing into the second. Missy is not in a mood to accept her terms as the two of them participate in another bitter and wild exchange in the middle of the ring, just bashing away at one another with strong and supple hooks hammering away at opposing bodies. Missy just bouncing her mitts of Maria's cleavage, going jug as she batters her rival's breasts in rapid-fire fashion, dipping lower to smack loudly into her torso and tummy. Maria not about to let Peregrym set the pace, just going to look for Missy's chin, but her gloves connecting hard with Missy's biceps around her head and shoulders as Peregrym tries to dip low to keep up the steady body work. Missy, however, forced to cover up top as Maria keeps crashing in her gloves hard against biceps, wincing and then Menounos rips away at Peregrym's breadbasket! Missy finding herself backpedaling as Menounos delivers rangy and breath-taking jabs to her tummy, just doubling her over. In the final minute, Maria is on top once again, just battering at her belly and although Missy's sturdy legs hold her up, she's gulping in air and cradling her abs as she sits butt-in-ropes. Maria smirking, pushing off all big girl as she heads back to her corner with a wide lead through two.

R3: Missy's eyes are narrowed this time, taking in a deep breathe as she shoots out from the corner, eager to get into this contest against her brunette rival as she looks to set the tone in the third. Peregrym using those same strong legs that served her well in the last round to keep her up and circling around Menounos, just tagging her along tummy, torso and tits with a steady diet of hooks and jabs. Peregrym just continuing to build into a rhythm as the round continues, hooking upwards as her glove rises from her hips and hammering in just behind Menounos' elbows as she tries to cover up. Maria gets in some offense as well as Missy pivots around her, just ripping away with some aggressive shots to tummy or hard jab to Missy's chest to force her out of orbit. However, Missy keeps up the jab-and-follow through, just displaying the range and determination to keep pushing Maria back until it's her turn to hit the ropes! Missy just hammers to brunette belly to double her over a bit, spearing her with focused shots to abs as Peregrym controls her rival with smart boxing to reset things here in the third.

R4: Missy just surging from her corner, eyes blazing with fury and nostrils flaring as she looks to really pick up the tempo here. Maria coming forward fast as well, looking to regain control behind the jab, but Missy manages to unhinge Maria's knees early in the round with a rapid-fire hook to chin that swivels her head to the side. That left shot just coming off of her hip with all of her weight behind it, spinning Maria to the side and putting her wobbly-butt. Maria trying to shake it off, bending forward in a defensive earmuff, gloves up high, but that allows Missy to just romp away down below as Peregrym is just ripping hooks to waist. Elbows unable to adjust to cover up her torso as Maria tries to punch over the top, trying to connect to Missy's face, but not able to get into a rhythm as she is stumbling a bit, blinking and mouth-breathing as Peregrym just connects over and over against her ribcage and tummy! Maria tries to clinch as the two of them stagger for a moment, but Missy spins her to the ropes and as Menounos' back hits the ropes, Peregrym pounds at her tummy hard to double Menounos over again. Maria forced to cover up her torso and rib, hugging them and that's when Missy unleashes a hard right hook that just tags Menounos right across the cheek. Maria's legs lock up this time, head snapping to the side and her body following after, toppling down facefirst to the canvas perpendicular to the ropes! Maria doesn't rise as she sprawls against the mats and Missy struts away, hands raised high as she is declared the KO4 victrix!

AFTER: Maria looking over glassy-eyed at Peregrym as she is helped up into her corner and given smelling salts to assist her as Missy is just beaming, “Who is the quitter now?”, winking at her opponent. Although Maria is still recovering, the taunt and the wink definitely registers with her as her face contorts a mask of rage. Missy ignores it, however, just smiling as she continues to address the press with words that are not going to make Maria or the rest of the lightweight division any happier, “What did I tell you? I just made Maria's body quit! She is one of the hardest hitting fighters out there – I mean, look at the first two rounds. I couldn't breathe, but once I did, I'm one of the best! That's why I'm the Alpha Athlete – I'm the fittest, I'm the fiercest and when it comes down to it, guess what? I'm going to hit harder than you! Whoever holds the belt after this whether it's Vonnie or Katy, I'm coming for you!! Anybody who tries to stand in my way on my way to the top of the mountain, here's a little piece of advice for you: Don't.”
