Claire Holt versus Olivia Wilde
(Unified Bantamweight Title)
(Words: Oddman / Results: Lookout!)

Before: Champ dismissive in prefight: “Obviously, if we’d known about the St Patrick’s day plans, we’d have gone ahead with Minka!  But, it’s too late for that, the challenge was made and accepted, and we’ll just have to apologize to the fans for the poor showing.”

“Well I’m thankful that I’m at least still eligible,“ Olivia Wilde retorts with a smile on her face drawing laughter from the reporter pool. “Seriously folks, I’ve been around the block in this league and the one thing I know is you’ve got to beat who they put in front of you and you also have to beat the best to put a belt around your waist. Tonight it looks like it’s just the former.” Olivia completes the verbal coup de gras and then steps off the podium.

Claire in sturdy white halter with showy scoop front; navy bikini bottoms with bold white floral print; white gloves; blonde hair in tight pony. Wilde wearing Chicago Bear blue bikini, boxing shoes and gloves, shoulder length hair loose.

R1&2: No-frills Claire attacking Olivia with the blunt, effective tactics she’s making her signature. Stamping jab to the upperchest from the champ, crisp right hands down the middle, Wilde has to lean away and bail or risk being decapitated. At the ropes, Holt lets her hands go, thick, robust tanning of Olivia's fat-free waist - really shaking that lithe torso. Wilde riding the ruckus, elbows in, getting rocked, but staying composed - she's fitting crooked little left uppercuts onto Holt's chin, slapping her face right hands, then covering up, Claire unfazed, clearly stronger with Olivia's back to the ropes.

R3: More big swinging wild and wide from Claire early, Olivia neatly evading with footwork - stepping out & circling back in from angles. Wilde quick-jabbing Holt's tummy, then scooting away, double-jabbing Aussie's breasts, ducking blonde counters and departing. Claire stomping forward, pitching from the hips - grazing contact only as Olivia's anticipation is good. Tactical stuff: Wilde dictating where and when action happens, but Holt dictating length of engagement as Olivia's reluctant to hang around.

R3&4: Similar stuff - Olivia stepping in & out, pivoting, sidestepping - circling her foe, using the ring. Wilde feinting, using tummy-jabs to pre-empt and vex - then she's quickly out of range, looking to circle to fresh angles. Holt the aggressor, coming forward, but can’t find the range: wide punches missing over the top or falling short as Olivia either slips or darts out of range. Nibbling left hands claim steadily against Claire’s torso; Wilde landing one good, clean, swinging right to Holt's chin but staying primarily with safety-first left leads.

R6:   Claire finally able to cut off the ring again, jabbing and stepping over to engage Olivia. Holt thrusting a straight right up the middle against Wilde's upperchest - locating Olivia, fixing her position, holding her in place for hooks body and head as a compliment. Wilde driven ropeside at several points - Holt chin tucked, crouching forward, opens up in spots to bat hooks to rib cage, threading thick right hands straight into the torso or 'round that left elbow. Good bell to bell hound-and-pound from Claire - Olivia frankly shocked to have been corralled and worked over that round.

R7:  Olivia supple, hands at waist, relaxed, prowling the ring with sliding footwork. Claire stepping-to, planting on lead (left) leg - right leg well behind...she's looking to lead the straight right to Wilde's chest, then sweep a swift, clip-across hook to chin with palm-down delivery. Olivia mesmeric in operation - circling; backing away; bouncing herself lithely off ropes - often to angle-around pursuing Claire. Close, competitive heat till the final moments...Wilde falling back into ropes lures Holt onto a slick right uppercut from the right plant-leg; swivel-pivot puts Claire face-first in ropes as Olivia pivots to the attack. Holt stunned, wobbly butt as she rights herself, forms earmuff: lathering, elbows-in flurry from Wilde salts away the round as Claire sits butt-in-ropes, soaks punishment to bell.

R8:  Olivia giving shoulder feints, cocking her body to the left, then uncoiling a jagged hook, dancing away to the side--she’s having fun in there. Claire much more business-like, stepping her girl down, trying to whittle away the space. Midway through, Wilde goes flat-footed and really tears it up--multiple hooks up Holt’s right flank, a short jerking right uppercut, just blazing away and CLAIRE CATCHES HER! Holt sitting in the pocket, hunkering down as Wilde bashes away, then snaps off a short, counter hook on the chin that PUTS OLIVIA ON HER FACE! Wilde ramshackle off the canvas, legs are shot, trying to clinch. Holt palming shoulders, stacking her girl up and really hammering the breasts and belly, chugging lefts and rights to bang the challenger to the ropes, Haymakers start to plow home Olivia’s head lolling dangerously as her chin is cracked, arms extended weakly in a half-clinch that isn’t doing the job and THE REF STEPS IN! Wilde being horribly savaged, Holt snarling as she steps back, jazzed with adrenaline--she’s the TKO8 winner and STILL Bantamweight champion!

After:  Claire still in beast mode- badly beaten blonde withstands slashing assault early, then rolls over her sleek foe with bone-crunching power...Holt's got the hottest hands in boxing once again! "I definitely felt her class early," Claire admits, her punished face telling the tale of Olivia’s cruel accuracy, "but I wasn't about to quit. A woman like this, you can't back down from her or show weakness - I knew I had to keep coming at her - show her she couldn't hurt me. I broke her with my legs and curves, I broke her with my heart... I'm the best bantamweight in boxing right now, and I don’t see anybody who’s going to change that!”
