CELEBRITY BOXING AFTER DARK

Before: O&E doesn’t usually go the indie route for its competition, but the Arrow star isn’t your typical piece of low-hanging fruit. “I’ve been ducked by everybody with anything to lose for 3 years now! Now I’m being used to sort the trash and see which of Odd Man’s rejects gets to pad that ‘couldn’t-hack-it-on-Trampire-Diaries’ stats. This isn’t right! Somebody is going to recognize what I’ve got, and when I do get managed, I’m goignto remake the face of the division!”

Ashley somewhat taken aback: “Well, that touched a nerve. And answers the question of why no stable wants her anywhere near them!

Ashley in teal bikini; black gloves; chin-length hair with ringlets framing face. Katie in forest green sport top; yellow nylon "Hooters" cut bottoms; yellow gloves; light brown hair in loose curls.

R1: Katie sinuous to her left, chop-thrusting the jab, then either doubling up the jab or swiping a hook off it. Cassidy with a nice way of turning her shoulders with the hook, closing up her stance and crouching to the right, smoothly rotating her torso low and to the left to reset. Greene feeling the power early—stung a hook on the temple in the first minute eating a right hand/hook combo to the head in the second minute soaking up the wallop, taking a great shot in an all-Katie first.

R2: Ashley shakes off the hurt, begins patient, steady pressure-pursuit. Katie elusive, supple, using the ring to flank Greene, but Ashley upping tempo just a bit to get inside. Greene scoring with lead right hand pokes; turning Cassidy's chin as she's backing off. Ashley able to punish Katie in spots at ropes, but Cassidy fairly quick to tie up, minimizing Greene's ability to reduce her body.

R3: Girls settling in, Ashley walking Katie down behind that high guard. Cassidy showing a variety of jab looks, sliding her front foot as she pivots, seeking angles on Greene and trying to create distance. Final minute, Ashley ducks forward and pings a chopping right hand off Katie’s chin, limber rump gives a shimmy, she flounders straight back and takes a hook on the teeth as Greene barrels in. Ashley brawny at the ropes, body-bumping Katie upright and going right at her—girls laying in all sweaty-tousle, arms crossed against bodies, lead shoulders rubbing short, digging punches work at toned torsos, Greene pounding away on Katie’s lithe frame, leaving her hollow-eyed, open mouthed at the end.

R4&5: Katie shines up Ashley minute after minute, round after round, cheerleader grinding up the clock with beautiful consistent boxing. Cassidy leggy as they come, bounding along the perimeter, stopping on a dime, running Greene into punches. Jabbing to circle right or left, grooving right hands in over Ashley’s mitts, spanking face, driving Greene back. Cassidy setting the table with her jab and hustling punches to Ashley’s torso. Greene beaten back time and again as Cassidy just won’t let up. Big smile for Katie, at the half, she’s running up the score, running the established beauty ragged with combination of boxing smarts and good old fashioned grit.

R6: Ashley gets it together, still leading the straight right hand, but varying the routine with the odd stiff left jab as well: Katie caught sideslipping INTO punches as she misreads Greene’s tells. Ashley landing vengeful blows to Katie's face, but also hooking the ribs and deploying a nasty right uppercut to midsection that has Cassidy grimacing. Katie on the run, pressure fighter finally able to to get through to her prey.

R7: Katie crouching forward in earmuff; Ashley STRAPPING leather to Cassidy’s supple torso. Whip-stroke rights and lefts biting at Katie's flanks, biting uppercuts snap and snatch at Cassidy's belly. Katie bogging down, grimacing in hurt: body work's freezing up her legs! Cassidy wobbly-butt, concerned as she stumbles around in alarm, defense unravelling as Greene presses the attack: wide, sidearm buggy whip right hand takes Cassidy atop her left hip, AND DOWN SHE GOES! Katie beats the count, but she's a frazzled beauty, taking hard licks here. Ashley grinning, stroking a thick left across Cassidy's quivering belly, then picking her up a right uppercut out of the crouch. Extra left hook thumps in thick behind Katie's right elbow as she's stooping forward, and it's OVER! Ref steps in a calls a halt as Ashley Greene picks up the TKO7!

After: Ash jubilant, punching her way out of trouble to give herself the inside track for Champ Claire Holt’s fifth defense! Greene looking to the future: “It’s going to be so good being champ! Claire’s a good friend and a great fighter, but it’s going to be my turn now!”
