MICHELLE KEEGAN vs MIRANDA COSGROVE

BEFORE: Miranda Cosgrove has struggled to gain as much exposure as her former iCarly co-star Jennette McCurdy when in fact she was the lead character on the show. She fails to understand why someone of McCurdy's diminutive presence has signed a deal with the Beevers Babes and is willing to do everything she can to turn her anonymous career around. What better way than to beat another of the Beevers, Michelle Keegan who's herself vaulted up from the BBU rings into a steadily improving tenure in America over the last few months.
It's not often you see a former BBU regular coming as a favorite on a PPV match-up but since Cosgrove has fought only once in SSB before and lost, there's a geuine feeling that the English brunette must take her scalp one way or another!
Miranda Cosgrove wears a red bikini top, black knickers and red gloves. Black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Michelle Keegan wears an all white bikini and black gloves. Black hair tied in a bum at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Michelle becomes the aggressor early on and dominates the somewhat cautious opponent in close range; she smacks Miranda's gloves aside and thumps her on the cheeks enforcing a heated struggle where Miranda just fails to stretch her elbows and skims off the forearms, eats more accurate jabs and drops on her heels desperately trying to escape into safety afterwards. Keegan keeps romping away in close range though and staggers the younger brunette with a series on the guts as Cosgrove begins to ache already and endures a head snapping galore down the stretch with Keegan head hunting her until the bell and landing more crisp punches to underline the pre-fight odds. Cosgrove's in a lot of bother already!
Round 2:
One has to wonder what Jennette McCurdy thinks of this display as Michelle jumps into an early barrage again and smacks Miranda's gloves aside to thump her on the face but she misses a put away hook on the temple and enables Cosgrove to mount a proper response; the American lunges at the older girl's midriff and peppers the liver area turning Michelle to the side with arms dropped low, flicks a solid uppercut on the jaw and makes Keegan moan for the first time tonight before riffling more overhands on the cheeks as both girls settle into a desperate flyweight scramble. Miranda ups her jabbing intensity and blasts a cross hook on the mouth to come out on top and buries another low jab on the navel to sink Keegan wobbly-butt right at the bell.
Round 3:
Michelle looks really displeased over that Cosgrove comeback but she struggles to tame the midsection assault in the third again as Miranda spikes the liver area and staggers the English lass midring before moving up high and making first connection with the impressive and famed rack. Keegan's a natural into a JMD-type contest but it took Miranda a while to punish that area; still she forces the buxom brunette into defensive circles down the stretch as Michelle somehow tries to regain the mid-distance superiority but only bounces off the guard now and has Cosgrove mauling her ribcage instead thanks to a dominant display of speed and agility. Another angry squeal marks Keegan's woeful efforts and Miranda whacks her with a piledriver uppercut seconds before the bell to spin her onto the ropes on wobbly knees however the clock expires before the American can make further progress.
Round 4:
Cosgrove thrives on the potential upset scenario and lashes out at the slow moving opponent but meets a solid high guard and before she can switch her targets on the breadbasket again, Keegan nails her with a vicious uppercut on the jaw herself and sends a quick flurry on the face thumping the mitts aside and snapping the black ponytail around. Miranda yelps in sudden disarry and sags on her knees; she fails to raise her arms again and has Michelle whooping her cheeks into a bruised display and pounding back to the turnbuckle in a hectic manner. Still, Cosgrove got royally stunned by the big punch to the jaw and she bellows out into earmuff cover trying to weather the English storm. Michelle barks in her efforts and rains punches on the cumbersome American, keeps her trapped butt-in-ropes for remainder of the round and is simply unlucky not to shatter the guard again with Cosgrove moaning her heart out and weaving in futile avoidance on her feet. Finally she drops the guard low enough after Keegan peppers her ribcage with one low jab too many and eats another piledriver on the side of the jaw that sends her half-turned on the turnbuckle and requires the bell to save her from a looming disaster.
Round 5:
Miranda's not so fast across the canvas anymore as she got really mahandled in the previous round which on the other hand gives Michelle a huge boost of confidence and it's the English actress doing all the hassling early in the fifth. Cosrgove tries to slow the action down but struggles to even match her foe's intensity in mid-distance and gets clubbed over the top for more ponytail swinging and sags on her knees when Keegan blasts her across the nasal ridge to assume full control. More painful yelps from the American follow as Michelle simply pounds her back to the ropes and makes her effort count lumping up Cosgrove's otherwise pretty face. Miranda tries to clinch her way out of trouble but Keegan slams her on the ribcage and drops the guard low to expose the vulnerable chin. A double combo leaves Miranda trembling and unable to display any defence; the punches mount on her face at will now with Keegan pumping more leather and snapping the fellow brunette's head back & forth until the bell; another pillar-to-post beating dumps Miranda into a languished scowl at the bell and the poor iCarly starlet walks back to her corner with eyes closed as Michelle almost bumps her sideways with her impressive rack and gives her a really long stare instead.
Round 6:
Cosgrove looks to be done mentally even more than physically as she rises up for the sixth to meet instant facial assault; Keegan just wrecks her guard with more high jabbing and pours leather on the face to sway the lacklustre American all over the ring before finally catching her with a heavy left hander on the temple; Miranda gives up the ghost while standing and doesn't even notice a right hand follow up that nails her on the ear moments later... DOWN GOES COSGROVE... the younger brunette just crashes flat on her back with eyes closed and arms afloat... it's an instant demise for the proud American and even the ref realizes any count is meaningless since Miranda's not getting up anytime soon! KO6 Michelle Keegan!!!
AFTER: Michelle really enjoys this whirlwind knockout and swings her gloves in delight while the audience demands some jug twerking as well! There's every chance the former Coronation Street actress becomes the best selling UK import since Catherine Zeta Jones and results like that will only increase her demand on the US market!
Meanwhile it's a terrible end to what promised to be a real upset for Miranda Cosgrove at one stage. Unfortunately her below par punching resistance was exposed by the BBU veteran a bit to quickly before she could really mess up with Keegan's mindset and the last two rounds before the crushing KO left the naysayers in full approval of why exactly Cosgrove remains a free agent right now contrary to Jennette McCurdy. Miranda needs to improve her brawling skills and improve it fast since she's good looking enough to make some noise but defeats like that make her a very probable cannon fodder Asylum target more than anything else. And that's not the most desired way to mark your SSB presence for any independent fighter!
Final result: Michelle Keegan def. Miranda Cosgrove KO6.
